EVENT OVERVIEWThe landscape of mobility in Qatar is changing rapidly with the introduction of Qatar’s rail network, Lusail tram and Doha Expressway packages. Furthermore, new trends in mobility models and advancements in technology are enabling the integration of these otherwise disparate modes of transportation.

With this in mind, the ITS and Future Mobility Qatar Forum will focus on the integration and connectivity of transportation models through the use of intelligent transport solutions such as autonomous vehicles, big data, intelligent signage and effective traffic management strategies.

Don’t miss your chance to network with government ministries, developers, consultants and contractors working to leverage the latest intelligent transport solutions for the development of Qatar’s smart and sustainable transport ecosystem.

Dear Colleague,

It is a great pleasure to present you with the agenda for the ITS and Future Mobility Qatar Forum taking place from 18-20 September 2017 in Doha, Qatar.

With Qatar’s transportation network developing rapidly, the key focus for Qatar’s Ministry of Transportation is to integrate these new modes of transportation to encourage use of public transport for a truly connected and sustainable transport network.

In order to realise true transportation integration, governments and project owners are looking to adopt Intelligent Transport Solutions such as smart ticketing, real-time data management solutions, smart signage, smart traffic signals as well as shared, autonomous and electrified mobility solutions to promote sustainable transport models in Qatar.

Projects such as the Doha Expressway, Doha Metro, Lusail Light Rail Transit and the Lusail Expressway will soon be linked by intelligent transport and telematics solutions to enable real-time travel data management and transfer for sustainable, reliable and safe mobility.

The forum will draw on the latest ITS solutions as well as updates on future initiatives for mobility including the updated Qatar National Transportation Plan, the Connected, Autonomous Vehicles Program, The Qatar Pedestrian Master Plan and the ITS Master Plan.

I look forward to welcoming you to the forum in September.

Yours Faithfully,

Claire Bishop Smith Conference Director - ITS and Future Mobility Qatar Forum IQPC Middle East
