Overview of traffic jam in BangladeshIt is the common situation in Bangladesh In day to day life
Solution? To solve this major problem it needs a big infrastructural change like
build new route, widen the roads etc. But it is not only a long term project but also huge amount of
investment is needed. Also in a dense locality, new routes cant be found easily. So is it possible to solve this problem??
There is always a second option
Studding present circumstances we have managed to come up with a idea to create a traffic routing system that can effectively solve the problem.
The main advantage is , this system does not require any big infrastructural change and it can be done within a low budget.
About the System We will use VANET technology to make new transportation system.
Using VANET we will establish a new infrastructure and we will make sure every vehicle is compatible with the new technology, Moreover, recent vehicles are already equipped with VANET compatible tools.
After that we will use a very effective optimization algorithm which is very effective in routing a vehicle into a jam free road.

System Requirements
Wi-Fi or Wi-Max internet Connection. A central database and a maintenance center Tracking and memory devices Electronic equipment
System Structure We will build some road side unit in a route. The road side unit will be
able to track and count each vehicle that passed through him. And send the information to the central management system.
There will be fixed number of car in the jammed condition that can stay between two road side unit.
The central management need to establish in a way so that it can communicate with the road side unit.
How it Works When the road between two road side unit is overloaded , if a new
vehicle reached to the first road side unit then it will inform the vehicle that this is a jammed route .
Our optimization algorithm will calculate a route that is jam free and short and send the information to the vehicle
The driver then easily switch a new route and thus avoid traffic jam.
Efficiency of the System Among all the technology this system will be most effective in terms of
avoiding traffic jam In Bangladesh Number of vehicle is increasing as well as the population
is increasing, So we need a intelligent approach to solve the traffic problem and this system is exactly what we looking for.
