OPERATION OF YOUR HEALTHSMART® FOOD STEAMERStep 1Removethelid,steamerbasketsanddriptrayfromthesteamerbaseandensurethefilterplugiscorrectlypositionedinthewaterreservoir.

Step 2Poursufficientclean,tapwater,upto1litre,intothewaterreservoirofthesteamerbaseandensurethemaximumMAXlevelonthewaterwindowisnotexceeded.AlsoensurethewaterleveldoesnotfallbelowtheminimumMINlevelduringoperation.

Ifcookingforlongperiodsoftime,allowthewatertoreachtheMINlevel,thenaddextrawatertoalignwiththeTOP-UPlevelonthewaterwindow.Thismayneedtoberepeatedwhensteamingforextendedperiodsoftime.DonotrefillpasttheTOP-UPlinewhenthefoodsteamerisinoperation.Theextrawatercanbepouredintothewaterreservoirthroughthepull-outwaterspoutontheright-handsideofthesteamerbase.Foreasyaccess,ensurethewaterspoutisinthepull-outpositionduringsteaming.

Step 3Correctlypositionthedriptrayintoplaceontopofthesteamerbasebyensuringtheindent(ononelongsideofthedriptray)fitsovercontrolpanelmechanisminwaterreservoir.

Avoidunnecessaryremovalofthelidandsteamerbasketsduringcooking,assteamsurroundingthefoodwillescape.

DO NOT IMMERSE STEAMER BASE, POwER CORD OR POwER PLUG IN wATER OR ANY OTHER LIqUID AS THIS MAY CAUSE ELECTROCUTION.

TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE APPLIANCE DO NOT USE ALKALINE CLEANING AGENTS wHEN CLEANING, USE A SOFT CLOTH AND A MILD DETERGENT.

Removal of mineral depositsMineraldepositsmayaccumulateinthesteamerbaseandattachments.Itisrecommendedtode-scaleregularlytoprolongthelifeofyourfoodsteamer.

Prepareade-scalingsolutionbymixing�cupsofwaterand1tablespoonoflemonjuiceorwhitevinegar.

Pourthede-scalingsolutionintothewaterreservoir,insertthedriptraythenasteamerbasketwithlidontop.Turnthetimerdialtoapproximately1�minutesandallowsteamtocirculate.Allowthefoodsteamerandliquidtocoolbeforedismantlingforcleaning.Ifexcessscalebuild-upstillremains,repeattheprocess.

STORAGEEnsuretheHealthSmartFoodSteamerisswitchedoffatthepoweroutlet,powerplugremovedfromthepoweroutletandallpartscleaned,driedandassembledbeforestoring.

Ensurethesteamdiffuserandfilterplughavebeenre-insertedintothewaterreservoirtheninsertthedriptrayontothesteamerbase.Whenstackingbaskets,( )shouldbeonthebottom,followedbythebasketmarked(=)andthen(–).Inserttherice/saucecookingbowlandcoverwithlid.

Wrapthepowercordaroundthesteamerbaseandstandtheapplianceupright.Donotstoreanythingontop.

CLEANING

Step 1Alwaysswitchthepoweroffatthepoweroutletandunplugthepowercordofthefoodsteamerandallowthesteamerbaseanddriptraytocooldownbeforedisassemblingandcleaning.

Step 2Disassembletheremovablebasesfromsteamerbaskets.Washthelid,steamerbaskets,basesandrice/saucecookingbowlinwarmsoapywater,rinseanddrythoroughly.

Step 3Whencompletelycool,carefullydiscardtheremainingliquidinthedriptrayandwaterreservoir.Removethefilterplugthenwashthedriptrayandfilterpluginwarmsoapywater,rinseanddrythoroughly.Wipetheinteriorofthewaterreservoirwithadampcloththendrythoroughly.Reassemblethefilterpluginthewaterreservoir.

Step 4Donotwashanypartofthefoodsteamer,includingsteamerbaskets,rice/saucecookingbowlordriptray,inadishwasher.

Donotuseabrasivecleaners,steelwoolorscouringpadsasthesecandamagethesurface.

Cleanthefoodsteameraftereachuse.

To clean the exterior Thesteamerbasecanbewipedoverwithadampcloththendriedthoroughly.
