Greetings From the Office of the Overseer...Our entire state staff sends a very special Holiday Greeting to all our members and friends across the Great State of Florida for this 2013 Christmas Holiday.

It’s hard to believe that it is once again the month of December. 2013 is all but behind us and we are already forging ahead with plans for 2014.

God has blessed us in so many ways. We’ve enjoyed one of the greatest conventions I’ve ever had the privilege of attending. Our camping Season saw a 20% increase in attendance, and our state membership is at an all time high. All this along with many, many other wonderful blessings makes this Christmas especially blessed. And this is the time of the year to celebrate the blessings of God.

Each and every family, all across the state, has been blessed this year in so many different ways. And Christ is the very heart and soul behind all our blessedness. In Romans 2:4b, we’re told,

“. . . .the goodness of God leads you to repentance?”

All we are and have is due to his love and sacrifice,

I love the way the Psalmist David said it. He said;

“13Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

14But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

No truer words have ever been spoken. When I consider all I have, it only is because of God’s great generosity to me and my family.

When I consider the most precious of all I have, in each and every case, it only exists because of God.

And when I take the sum of all I have, the combined value does not come near to the pricelessness of God’s gift of salvation.

When you go shopping, looking for gifts for those you love, let me encourage you to never forget the greatest gift you’ve ever been given. This gift was one of true love. It came packaged in great sacrifice.

It was a gift that only exists because, as stated in St John chapter 3, and verse 16; “. . . . God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

This is our day to celebrate. And we celebrate because of His gift. And because of His gift, we can enjoy the true riches of life eternal.

Let’s enjoy our heavenly status this Christmas.

Let’s be sure we remember and give proper honor to the one who made it possible.

Greetings Women of Florida!

What a Wonderful Women's Conference we have just experienced! Amen and Amen!! I just love when God does what only He can do so well, and that is meet the needs of His ladies. I cannot thank each of you enough, for the prayers and support to the State Women's Ministry Department."Chosen Not Frozen" was the Theme for our fall conference and we surely were warmed by the loving fire of God. There are many testimonies emerging, One sister said" I came for certain things, and received soooo much more" and so much more is exactly what God has in mind. I want to encourage you, because if you have never experienced one of our meetings, then that is the truth, you are yet to experience how God blesses us so. It is such a beautiful, peaceful, pleasant atmosphere, that it seems as if all else fades away. My prayer would be that you will make your plan to attend in April and feel for yourself what God has waiting for you. Try it, you'll like it!Listening to Him and reaching for you!

A brand new year is upon us! It will be here before we hardly turn around.

I am in the process of booking revivals for 2014. If you would like to have a revival, just pick up your phone and call 912-467-8188 and we can set one up.

I have been in full time ministry for 35 years. To continue doing what the Lord has called me to do, I need you to help me. I'll work with you. If you need Sunday through Wednesday, or Friday through Sunday or just to speak on Sunday. All you need to do is call.

May God bless you and your church,

Clay Hill, Pastor Billy CanterburyGreetings! Just wanted to share what God has been up to at Clay Hill.  Since August we have won 4 new families to the church. We've had several rededications this month and Pastor Canterbury water baptized 7 of our babies this past Sunday!  We Praise God for all he is doing!

Jacksonville Southside, Pastor Jacob BakerGreetings Sunshine News from Church of God of Prophecy Southside in Jacksonville Florida. Lately our congregation has been involved in many wonderful things,  this included a back to school bash in which  the neighborhood came out to get school supplies. Friends and Family Day was also  held on September 16, 2013 here at the church. Our guest speakers Brother Dotson and his family were here and gave encouraging words. This event was a huge success. Dinner was held after that service and everyone contributed to the wonderful food that was there. The men have also had some excursions including Mens Retreat in Brooksville, FL which was a great and powerful weekend. Also we have breakfast often which included Labor Day breakfast and Columbus Day breakfast which took place on the 14th of October. The women in the congregation have awesome things going for them as well including women's nights at the church and women's retreat on November 8 & 9th which was held in Brooksville. More ideas are being brought forth which I am sure will be a success. Upcoming news would be the fall festival which will have a bounce house, games, cake walks, and etc. Needless to say, the church is very involved in many things and we look forward to future events.

Miami Centerville, Pastor Vincent RamsayAugust 13th – The Youth Department went on a pre-back to school outing at CB Smith Water Park. The youth enjoyed themselves and fellowshipped with all the other youth and also we were pleased to have our Pastor and First Lady attend as well

October 14th and 15th – We had our World Mission Crusade and we had a great turn out both nights. Sis Bullock presented the message on Monday night and on Tuesday night the message was presented by our First Lady Sis Ramsay

November 10th – We had our Annual Financial Drive program. We separated the church members into 2 teams where both teams had fundraisers to raise money for the team and also for the church. Our speaker was Bishop Ronald McFarlane. He delivered an awesome message followed by a powerful prayer.

Miami Ridgeway, Pastor Eustace ClarkOur World Mission service was held on October 13, with Minister Anquette Wray as speaker. The book of Joshua, chapters 1-3, was highlighted. It referenced the conquest and fulfillment of the people of God. Sis. Anquette's illustration of the crossing of the  river on dry land was brought to life by  the congregation being asked to cross - ( demonstration ) - blue fiber-cloth stretched across the floor- at the front of the Sanctuary- and pulled, both ends simultaneously,

until parted. Representing Joshua was Pastor Clarke, at the front of the line-up, followed by the Priest  and male officers carrying the church flags. The congregation was asked to line up behind the officers as we all crossed over on dry land into our victory. Thunderous Praise was emitted as we crossed over. Pastor appreciation month was held under the theme 'Your Labor is not in Vain in the Lord.' Retired Pastors, Rosa McIntosh and Mark Berry, followed by Bishop Enoch Cornwall-Jamaica, West Indies- blessed our souls with timely unfoldings from  1st. Corinthians 15: 17-18. A 5 day 6 night cruise was presented with stops in Ocho Rio, Nassau and Turks Island. Sis. Kathy Sagesse is Pastoral Care Chairman. We  are planning a Christmas community give-away in the month of December.

Orlando Orange Center, Pastor Cornelius Williams2nd Corinthians 5:1 says, "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." God has blessed us tremendously over the years. Close to 5 years ago, our church home was burned down at the hands of an arsonist. From that time up until now, our faith has been tested physically, emotionally, spiritually and definitely financially. Every step up of the way, especially when we felt like giving up, God reassured us that the battle isn't over. We received a Temporary Occupancy permit that allowed us to open our doors September 26th and we started our Church Dedication Celebration. To God be the glory! Saturday, September 28th, State Overseer Bishop Davis delivered an awesome sermon to us, setting the tone at Orange Center COGOP. That resulted in a packed house for our first Sunday morning service at our home church in almost 5 years, over 150 attended! We graciously thank you all. If it wasn't for all of your encouragement, your prayers, the hard work of our church members, the support of our community, and the everlasting grace of our Father, this day would have been long awaited. Bishop Cornelius Williams, First Lady Hazel Williams and the Orange Center COGOP family send our sincere thanks and appreciation. Finally, we are home and winning souls for the kingdom. Won't you join us? God bless. "MATTHEW 16:18"
