With a partner, you will be working together on an inquiry project about Indonesia this term. We have already learnt some basic information but now it is your turn to find out things that YOU really want to know about Indonesia that you will share back to the class. First, you will need to agree on a topic from the choices board below that you and your partner are both interested in and wish to find out more about.

Steps for your inquiry learning project

1.Select your topic area

2.Write a list of 4 inquiry questions that you both would like to find out about your chosen topic – they must be FAT questions – write them on a jotter pad and present to me for approval.

3.Decide what resources you will use to find out your information eg. Books, films, music, internet, maps, charts, artworks etc..

EXPECTATIONS

•I expect students to make good use of their time and follow expected behaviour guidelines

• I expect students to come up with 4 FAT questions for their inquiry learning based on their own area of interest

• I expect students to maintain high presentation standards when presenting their work to the class

• All projects are to be approved by the teacher

• I will be there to support you in achieving your inquiry learning, providing suggestions and on-the-spot skill teaching sessions as required

EXPECTATIONS

• A weekly log will be kept outlining how students have spent their time during their work on their inquiry learning project, reflecting on learning and thinking and forward planning.

•All pairs must report back to the class about their inquiry project sharing what they have learned about Indonesia.

Each pair will be assessed on the following criteria:
