The FlipMate System works with twothreaded digestion cups and a filter assembly.The sample is pulled by vacuum from thesample cup through the filter assembly into theempty cup. FlipMates Systems are available inseveral filter options.

• Bring sample to volume in the appropriatedigestion cup.

• Thread FlipMate Filter Assembly onto cup containing sample and tighten securely.

• Thread an additional digestion cup ontoFlipMate Filter Assembly and tightensecurely.

• Invert the entire FlipMate System, attach vacuum source and apply vacuum.

In a few seconds thesample will be drawn throughthe filter assembly into theempty cup. Filtration speed willvary depending on samplequality. Your filtered sample can then be capped for storage or further analysis.

Samples may require filtration prior toanalysis. This is especially true with sludge,wastewater and soil samples. The FilterMatefits directly into the digestion vessel and ispushed through the liquid being filtered to thebottom of the cup with a detachable plunger.After filtration is complete, the plunger isremoved and discarded while the filterassembly remains in the bottom of the cup.

The patented StepSaver for solid phaseextraction saves time and simplifies EPAMethod 1664 for Oil and Grease.

The original StepSaver is made ofborosilicate glass with a stainless steel filterscreen and was designed for use with 47mmsolid phase extraction disks. A 90mm version isalso available for SPE applications requiring alarger filtration area. The 47mm StepSaver isalso available with convenient, polypropylenedisposable filter funnels that house UltraFlowfilter disks.
