02 Globaltrans Globaltrans 03
Globaltrans is a leading private freight rail transportation group with operations in Russia, the CIS and the Baltics.
Globaltrans became the first freight rail transportation group in Russia to go public on an international stock exchange. Globaltrans’ global depositary receipts have been listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange since May 2008.
Globaltrans was formed in 2004 as a private project. Since its inception, the Group has efficiently implemented its opportunistic expansion strategy by acquiring new rolling stock and successfully completing M&A transactions. In 2012–2013 Globaltrans acquired captive operators Ferrotrans (until 2012 – Metalloinvesttrans) and Steeltrans (until 2013 – MMK-Trans).
The combination of its sizeable and modern rolling stock fleet and efficient management enables the Group to provide a complete range of high quality transportation services to its customers and make the most proficient use of its rolling stock.
