Initiative WASH
Grow I:EAUOne third of the world is without access to
clean water and sanitation.
We exist to end that reality.
April
We are pleased to provide you with an update of our Grow I:EAU Campaign and to give you an opportunity to get involved. We write today to request your consideration of giving towards our $1,500 goal, which will help us become tax-exempt and recognized as a legitimate non-governmental organization in the United States. As lack of access to potable water continues to perpetuate the
vulnerable populations, sufficient aid and education concerning clean water and sanitation are more important than ever.
Initiative: Eau was founded in 2010 to protect, respect and fulfill the human right to water and sanitation in excluded communities in Burkina Faso. Initiative: Eau is committed to providing aid and education to regions experiencing a lack of access to clean water and sanitation

development. We partner with the locally based BARKA Foundation, a UN affiliated NGO that works to provide access to clean water and to see the fruition of the UN Millennium Development Goals.
Over 780 million people in the world do not have access to clean water, and 2.5 billion are without adequate sanitation. Inadequate water and sanitation are a serious threat to development. Water is essential for agriculture, which directly affects food security. Water
attempt to save water, food may not be cleaned adequately, leading to contamination, and hygiene issues arise. Combating the health implications of unsafe water may be more expensive in the long run. Millennium Development Goal 7 (target c) aimed “to reduce by half the proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation by 2015 compared with 1990 level.” So a lot still needs to done to achieve this goal.

Our main project, Initiative: WASH, will be a unique, one of a kind project to provide people with information about safe sources of water in their neighborhoods at any time via SMS technology. We look forward to supporting as many vulnerable populations as we can through our innovative, transformative program. However, we need your help to make it happen. We have raised $500 so far, and we need $1000 more to become a certified 501 (c) 3 in order to truly start making a difference in Burkina Faso.
