Also known as a computerized generated decision.

Decisions are made based on structured problems (frequently predicted problems)

For example, media player installed in a car. They automatically plays music without pushing any button.

Non-computerized decision taking process.

Could be said occurs in daily life as well.

It is a difficult-to-quantify decisions.They do not depend on standard rules

and procedures.For example, ask yourself what do

you want to eat, and drink, and where would you go to and when?

Find the best solution through problem constraints method.

An optimum solution that meets organizational goals.

For example, between 3 choices, the 1st choice is the best solution for effective, and cheapest method execution, while as the 2nd and 3rd choice do not provide such equal as the 1st choice.

Computerized DSS: Satisficing Model

Not optimum, rather a satisfying solution.

Could be said, as the 2nd or 3rd best achievable solution.

Also good give good results.For example, if you can’t get a gold

medal in a sport, get at least a silver or bronze medal.

Common DSS: Heuristic Model

Commonly accepted guidelines or procedures.

Also known as the “Rules of Thumb”.You can’t gain maximum effect nor

achieved failure with this model.For example, you don’t achieve your

this month’s target on sales, but your sales on the current month is not the lowest on the record.
