Dear St. Mary’s Parents and Students,

The time is upon us to start thinking about gifts for Christmas.

We will again be offering Scrip as an option to give to St. Mary

teachers and staff. Finding individual gifts is a challenge but

we know that families want to show their appreciation to all

who are involved with our children’s education. Scrip makes

that easy!

St. Mary Scrip is much the same as giving a Gift Certificate

except the recipient gets to choose the vendor. We offer Dells

Dollars or Nationwide Scrip. Please know that this is

completely optional!

Please think about Scrip as you complete your Christmas

shopping for others on your list, such as bus drivers,

employees, babysitters, friends, and relatives.

The Scrip order form, as well as the teacher/staff form, is

attached to this letter. Scrip can also be purchased in the

north entry after each Mass or in the Parish office during the

week.

Please return the Teacher/Staff form to either school office by

Wednesday, December 4th, 2019.

Thank you for your support!

Merry Christmas!!!

Delores Klein 428-5950 Teresa Wolles 428-3949

Kaye Reecy 428-3356 Laura Vortherms 941-2171

ST. MARY

SPECIALTY DAY

“In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.”

Wednesday, January 8th from 1 – 3 pm

St. Mary is blessed to have a supportive community full of parents and businesses that are talented! We

would love to share your God-given talents with our elementary students! This January, the SFO is hosting a

Specialty Day at St. Mary School. Kindergarten and 1st grade will attend a teacher-selected session, while 2nd

through 6th graders will be able to choose 3 different sessions to attend during the afternoon. We invite

parents, grandparents, and local businesses to come to St. Mary School and share their talents by teaching the

students their special craft, hobby, or occupation. We hope that you will prayerfully consider sharing your

talent with our students.

Specialty Day will require around 15 different activities for students to choose from. Ideas for the day

include but are not limited to:

cupcake or cookie decorating, woodworking, cheer or dance, science experiments, Tae Kwon Do,

veterinarian care, making slime, manicures, various sports, yoga, fire/police department,

chocolate delights, beading, scrapbooking, food creations, auto mechanic, shadow boxes,

gardening, balloon animals, and many more!

Presenters will see around 30 children total throughout the afternoon and will need to bring supplies for

each student. The afternoon will be set up in three 30-minute sessions. Each session will have around 10-

12 students to teach at one time.

To make Specialty Day a success, we will need presenters but also volunteers to assist the presenters.
