“We ensure that these young minds find the right knowledge and the right atmosphere to dream and

the right preparation to achieve their dreams.”

Two decades ago, with the winds of change blowing through the Indian economic landscape, we had a

dream. We realized that the coming century would throw up unfamiliar challenges, the kind that

mankind has not seen yet and the pace of change will be unsettling. Our dream therefore was to build

an institution that will equip the youth to be able to compete in a scenario where change could be called

the only constant.

From this dream arose Sinhgad Institutes. From a humble start, our family is now 70,000 plus and

growing. But there is one way in which we have not changed and that is in our uncompromising stand

on quality of education and its applicability in life. We have always worked towards creating thought

leaders and frowned upon rote learning. This is evident in the quality of students that come out of our

institutes and their successful trajectory in life.

At our campuses, we see young minds reinventing the future in more ways that we can imagine. The

pace of change is only accelerating and this means that these young minds will find many ways to

influence the future and better the lives of millions. We ensure that these young minds find the right

knowledge and the right atmosphere to dream and the right preparation to achieve their dreams.

It gives me an immense pleasure to put forth before you a brief replica of aims and objectives of the

Industry Institute Interaction Cell of our esteemed institution.

Sinhgad Academy of Engineering established in 2005 has become the destination of choice for aspiring

engineers throughout India. A combination of the futuristic vision, meticulous planning and abiding

commitments, are the hallmarks of all STES ventures and is the key to this position of eminence.

Our source of inspiration Hon. Founder President Prof. M. N. Navale, himself, is a professional engineer

par excellence and a pioneering proponent of combining research with Science. Learning technology in

such a multifaceted environment is an experience by itself. We believe that engineering education

opens opportunities for any endeavors one could think off, as it combines theory and practice

judiciously. With the globalization of economy, opportunities for scientist-engineers are immense.

I am extremely happy to present this IIIC report before you of Sinhgad Academy of Engineering

Kondhwa, Pune. This initiative was launched in March 2015 and around 50 companies have participated

and signed MOU in this event. For holistic development of teachers and students by bridging the gap

between Industry & Institute. SAE has started this Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC). This will have

great bearing on the Engineering Curriculum, exposure of Industrial atmosphere to engineering students

and subsequent placement of young graduating engineers in industries across the country. With the

advent of globalization and opening up of Indian economy to outside world, competitions among

industries have become stiff. To solve their engineering problems they look up now to Engineering

Institutions. Similarly, there is an urgent need to prepare engineering students for jobs in multinational

companies, by exposing them to newer technologies and engineering methodologies. These objectives

can only be achieved well by bridging the gap between industry and the academic institute. The mentor

and inspiration for this initiative is Prof. M. N. Navale sir. this initiative will enable our students to

interact with the industry. I wish faculties and students best of luck for this endeavor.

From Coordinator’s Desk

In today’s world, Engineering Institutions need to interact with the corresponding Industries for

improving the quality of the Engineers by understanding their expectations. SAE has started Industry

Institute Interaction Cell with this objective to have more Companies involved and our students will get

benefit from the MOU’s done with these companies. We facilitate students for interacting with the

Company by organizing events and activities. We want to help students to improve their knowledge and

skills and for getting them job in good Companies. This III Cell tries to provide internship, Industrial visit,

Guest Lectures & workshops for the students under MOU signed with the industries.

Preface

To improve the quality of technical education adequately to meet the needs of the Industry, society and

economy. Technical education system should operate at optimum efficiency and should produce good

quality engineers’ who will deliver quality product to employers. To optimize the deployment of physical

and human resources of Institutions and Industries in the pursuit of development of technical

manpower & to enlist participation of industry in technical education programmes, with a view to have

better interaction between Industries and Institute, SAE has started Industry Institute Interaction Cell

(IIIC).

Brief report Digital forensics is a branch of forensic science encompassing the recovery and

investigation of material found in digital devices, often in relation to computer crime.

The goal of the process is to preserve any evidence in its most original form while

performing a structured investigation by collecting, identifying and validating the digital

information for the purpose of reconstructing past events. The context is most often for

usage of data in a court of law, though digital forensics can be used in other instances.

Brief report This workshop was conducted by Mr.Lokesh Rane under the IIIC

cell and MESA Platform. Two day workshop started with

inauguration by honorable principal Dr. Vijay Wadhai. Head of the

Department of mechanical Engineering Prof. S. C. Shilwant, Prof.

A. P. Kalmegh were also present for the ceremony.Various topics

like different subsystems of an automobile, their working,

supercars, super bikes, design of braking and transmission system

were the main highlight for the workshop. The special guest

lecture on ‘Automobile Design Insight’ by Mr. Imran Mulla (Baja

R & D) was organised just to boost students’ confidence. Last day

of the workshop was fully dedicated to practical session. Total 95

students from the mechanical department attended the workshop.

At the end of the workshop, quiz was conducted and the student

who topped the quiz was awarded with Best Auto Enthusiast

which included trophy and certificate.

Brief report The training program was organized by Prof S. V. Dewalkar and

delivered by speaker Mr. Ashwin Nakka. He delivered lecture on

software named “HIT Office Construction management software”

He was felicitated by hands of Head of Civil Engineering

department Sinhgad Academy of Engineering Prof R B Bajare. In

his lecture he has delivered his experiences in the construction

industry regarding use of construction management software. He

also discusses the important concept of estimating and costing for

construction projects. The lectures were followed by four hr.



training daily on “Planning of construction project by using ERP

Software”. Prof. S V Dewalkar, Prof Dinesh Gawatre, Prof S V

Bhagatkar were involved in this training activity. The program was

successful and ends with test exam on the basis of training, closing

ceremony and certificate distribution.
