Planned the distribution of manufacturing and service facilities. Performed statistical-

analysis of data, including of production levels, inventories, and cycle times, to establish

an arrangement of machines, material flow, stock in process and personnel needs on a

new layout. The final layout was designed according to the production processes and

parameters to achieve the security that the company desired, and we were able to reduce

the cycle time of the work stations by nearly 25%.

Implemented lean manufacturing techniques. Trained eighty blue collar employees in 5S,

visual control, the seven quality tools and wastes, quality control, quality assurance,

quality function deployment, job mapping, and map expectations. By the end of the

project, the workplace was organized, Production and Sales department were integrated,

also job satisfaction among the employees had increased; the level of claims and returns

had decreased and waste time had dissipated.
