Faculty Induction Training Programme by NITTTR

National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) Chandigarh organized a five days Faculty Induction Training Programme from March 4th to March 8th 2013 using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in association with Poornima University and sponsored by MHRD, Govt. of India. This induction programme was organized with the objective of enhancing teaching skills among teachers. Dr. S. S. Pattnaik, NITTTR, Chandigarh and Dr. Manoj Gupta, Dean, School of Engineering & Technology, Poornima University coordinated the programme. Around seven more technical institutes and polytechnic colleges were linked through ICT for live telecast of the programme.

Dr. R. P. Rajoria , Director, Poornima College of Engineering, Jaipur was invited as the Chief Guest during the Inaugural function on March 4th 2013 which began with lighting of Lamp before Goddess Saraswati. Dr. M. P. Poonia, Dr. S. S. Pattnaik, Dr. P. K. Tulsi and others faculty from NITTTR Chandigarh delivered innovative lectures on Advance learning using ICT as per the following schedule:

Mr. Arvind Kaul, Manager at Enertrak Instruments Pvt Ltd and Mr. Krishna B. Goyal Chairman and Managing Director of Dwarka Gems Ltd. and MNV Technologies Pvt. Ltd. were invited as the industry experts in the panel discussion session. Mr. Shrikant Singhi, Vice President, NRB Bearings graced the Valedictory function as the Chief Guest on March 8th 2013. The programme casted a blend of communication technology and media for knowledge dissemination and interaction among various centers. Faculty members of Poornima Foundation (PCE, PIET, PGI and PU) and other institutions participated enthusiastically in the programme and gained an insight into new and innovative teaching learning methodologies. Poornima University is looking ahead for many more such programmes for in collaboration with NITTTR Chandigarh.
