AIPMP is an organization that unifies provincial investment promotion agencies to enhance quality of the agencies' work performance and professionalism. It has the objective among others to become an investment promotion information centre.

AIPMP organizes JAKVEST 2009 to seize the opportunity resulting from Indonesia’s better economic position in the recent global financial crisis. On top of that, foreign investment projects that were materialized in the last 5 years show a continuous increasing trend.

AIPMP sees JAKVEST 2009 as the place to promote investment opportunities in the town/ regencies as well as those in government departments, state-owned companies, etc. The event also serves as a meeting point between project owners and potential investors.

The event is expected to be an international experience for the agencies in which investment exposition, investment forum, one-on-one meeting and legal & regulation consultations take place.

Pertamina tendering out seven marginal oil, gas fields

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT Pertamina EP has put out tenders for the operation of seven marginal oil and gas fields in Indonesia under joint cooperation (KSO) schemes, a company spokesman said. The fields consist of two production and five exploration areas, Pertamina EP spokesman M Harun said here Friday. "The fields must be operated under KSO schemes so that their output can be optimized and thus contribute to the enhancement of Pertamina EP`s oil and gas production," he said. He said the two production areas on offer are Tangai-Sukananti and Loyak-Talanggula in South Sumatra and the five exploration areas North Rantau Deep and South Rantau Deep in North Sumatra, Pemalang in Central Java, South Tuban in East Java, and South Klamono in Papua.

The tendering period was divided into three phases. The first phase, August 24-September 18, 2009 was for notifications; the second phase, August 24 -October 2 2009, for data accessing: and the third phase, November 2-6 2009, for documents handover. The KSOs for exploration followed by production would be valid for a maximum period of 20 years and those for production alone for a maximum period of 15 years. ertamina EP`s oil production now stood at over 136.504 barrels per day, and gas production at 1.090 million cubic feet per day, Harun said.
