El CAE (Centro de Apoyo al Estudiante), es una unidad destinada a facilitar una amplia gama de ayudas relacionadas directamente con la vida académica de los alumnos de la Universidad de Alicante. Todas las asignaturas son semestrales con créditos en ECTS:

1 crédito ECTS equivale a 25 horas de carga de trabajo total: 40% horas de clase, 60% trabajo independiente del estudiante; por ejemplo, en un curso de 6 créditos ECTS, 60 horas son de clase y 90 son de trabajo independiente del estudiante.

CURSO DE LENGUA ESP AÑOL A

La Universidad de Alicante ofrece un curso de español para los y las estudiantes de programas de intercambio (Convenios Bilaterales). El Curso de Lengua Española tiene una duración de 60 horas y vale 6 ECTS. Más información: http://sri.ua.es/es/movilidad/intercambios/cursos-de-lengua-espanola.html CURSOS NO OFICI ALES

Por otra parte, en la Universidad de Alicante se ofertan otros cursos no pertenecientes a las titulaciones oficiales por ejemplo, cursos de cultura, cursos de idiomas, International Business Programme, etc. Si el alumnado de intercambio está interesado en seguir alguno de ellos, tendrán que solicitarlo en la forma que cada oficina responsable lo establezca, pagando las tasas que en su caso correspondan. Estos cursos especiales no pueden ser incluidos en el Learning Agreement. ACUERDO DE APRENDIZAJE ON-LINE / LEARNING AGREEMENT ON-LINE

El alumnado de intercambio tiene que elaborar, junto con sus coordinadores académicos de las universidades de origen, la propuesta del Acuerdo de Aprendizaje. Los y las estudiantes deben cumplimentar su propuesta de Learning Agreement (on-line), a través del UACloud-Campus Virtual de la UA una vez que se hayan registrado, en los plazos establecidos. El Acuerdo de Aprendizaje inicial es una propuesta preliminar. Puede suceder que se den cambios en el plan de estudios inicial (incluir nuevas asignaturas, cursos que se pueden cancelar, etc.) durante el curso académico. Por tanto una vez en la Universidad de Alicante, los y las estudiantes podrán modificar su Learning de acuerdo con sus Coordinadores de origen, en el plazo establecido. LLEGADA Y MATRÍCULA A la llegada a la Universidad de Alicante, durante las Reuniones Informativas Generales (1ª Reunión) y la Reunión con el/la Coordinador/a Erasmus de la Facultad de Derecho (2ª Reunión), al alumnado de intercambio se le informa del procedimiento propio de la UA que deben seguir para matricularse en las asignaturas. La matriculación en las asignaturas es requisito indispensable para poder examinarse y obtener la calificación correspondiente en el Certificado Académico. IMPORTANTE: El alumnado deberá incorporarse a la Universidad de Alicante durante el día de la sesión de orientación asignada por la UA. 1º semestre: Entre el 11 y 12 de septiembre de 2017 – Facultad de Derecho. 2º semestre: Entre el 25 y 29 de enero de 2018 – Facultad de Derecho. AUTOMATRÍCUL A / REUNIÓN AUTOM ATRÍCUL A: AYUD A TÉCNIC A (3ª REUNIÓN)

El alumnado se matricula en las asignaturas oficiales a través del UACloud-Campus Virtual, la intranet de la UA. Para matricularse necesitan el correo electrónico que la Universidad proporciona, y una contraseña de acceso al UACloud-Campus Virtual:

- 1º semestre: según cita asignada en la Hoja de Registro - 2º semestre: según cita asignada en la Hoja de Registro

Los cursos en los que se matricule el estudiante deben coincidir con los cursos incluidos en el Learning Agreement online definitivo

Los estudiantes no pueden matricularse en cursos que no les sean ofertados en el Learning Agreement online de la UA.

MATRICUL ACIÓN DE ASIGN ATUR AS DEL 2º SEMESTRE

Los estudiantes con intercambio anual pueden realizar la matriculación de las asignaturas del segundo semestre en febrero; y deberán hacerlo en la Oficina Central de Movilidad. Por favor, tened en cuenta que sólo existirá la posibilidad de añadir asignaturas cuya docencia se dé exclusivamente en el 2º semestre.

GRUPO DE ASISTENCIA Muchas de las asignaturas se ofrecen en varios grupos (con horarios distintos) en un mismo semestre. El o la estudiante puede solicitar asistir a cualquiera de los grupos y se atenderá su petición conforme siempre que la capacidad de los grupos lo permita. Para elegir un grupo debes fijarte en su horario y en el/la profesor/a que lo imparte (ver Anexo I – Ficha de la Asignatura). ATENCIÓN: El alumnado de intercambio no se puede matricular:

Grado DERECHO, en los grupos 1 y 2 de las asignaturas de primer curso. Grado DERECHO+ADE en los Grupos 51, 52 Grado DERECHO+CRIMINOLOGÍA en el grupo 21.

Cualquier duda al respecto por favor, preguntad en la Oficina Movilidad de la Facultad de Derecho. La docencia ordinaria en la Universidad de Alicante se imparte en español. ASISTENCIA A CL ASE

El alumnado internacional asiste a las clases desde el primer día (consultar el Calendario Académico – Anexo II). De esta forma, durante las dos primeras semanas de clases, los y las estudiantes pueden asistir a todos los cursos, lo que les ayudará en su elección final de asignaturas. EVALUACIÓN / CERTIFICADOS DE NOTAS EVALU ACIÓN

El alumnado de intercambio que estudia asignaturas en la UA lo harán en las mismas condiciones que los estudiantes propios, con la misma carga de trabajo y el mismo tipo de evaluación. La evaluación puede hacerse mediante exámenes, exámenes más trabajos, o de cualquier otra forma que establezca el correspondiente profesor. CERTIF ICADO DE ASISTENCIA A CLASE

Los créditos ECTS sólo se obtendrán si el alumnado supera la evaluación requerida para las asignaturas. Si los o las estudiantes necesitan un Certificado de Asistencia a Clase, al principio del semestre deben hablar con el profesor o profesora correspondiente para que éste pueda llevar un control de la asistencia del estudiante, con el objetivo de facilitarle el mencionado certificado.

La Oficina de Movilidad enviará a las Oficinas Internacionales Centrales de las instituciones de origen los certificados (eTranscript) con los resultados que obtengan el alumnado, en las siguientes fechas:

A finales de febrero: resultados de las asignaturas de 1er semestre A final de junio: resultados de las asignaturas de 2º semestre y asignaturas anuales A final de julio: resultados de la convocatoria de julio (2ª convocatoria de exámenes)

El eTranscript se firma electrónicamente con un sello de la Agencia Regional de Tecnología y Certificación Electrónica. Se puede verificar usando el Código Seguro de Verificación (CSV) mostrado en el documento, en https://seuelectronica.ua.es/ HOJA DE EVALU ACIÓN

Los y las estudiantes que necesiten sus calificaciones con anterioridad a las fechas indicadas arriba pueden utilizar la Hoja de Evaluación. Los profesores o profesoras deben cumplimentarla con los resultados correspondientes del estudiante, sellarla y firmarla. Es opcional tanto por parte de los estudiantes como de los profesores. CERTIFICADO DE ESTANCIA La mayoría de instituciones de origen necesitan un certificado de la Universidad de Alicante haciendo constar las fechas exactas del periodo de intercambio de sus estudiantes. Para obtener el Certificado de Estancia, los estudiantes de intercambio tienen que venir a la Oficina de Movilidad, justo antes de su salida de la Universidad de Alicante. UACLOUD-CAMPUS VIRTUAL El alumnado internacional, al igual que los alumnos y alumnas propios de la UA, tienen acceso al UACloud-Campus Virtual. Éste funciona como una intranet con acceso externo a través de la página principal de la UA y ha sido desarrollado por la Universidad de Alicante para aprovechar las nuevas tecnologías. De esta forma se facilitan los contactos entre profesores, estudiantes y el personal de administración. A través del UACloud-Campus Virtual puedes acceder a: 1. Learning Agreement on-line 2. One-semester subjects and ECTS credit system:

1 ECTS credit refers to 25 hours of total workload: class contact hours (40%) and student independent work (60%); for example, if the course is allocated 6 ECTS, 60 hours are of class and 90 are of student independent work.

At the Faculty of Law, those courses belonging to the official degrees are taught in Spanish, so it is highly recommended to have a good knowledge of Spanish, but there are also a number of official subjects offered in English. COURSES IN ENGLISH OFFERED AT THE FACULTY OF LAW

The Faculty of Law offers some subjects in English. The Students can take a look at the current list of subjects taught in English on website: https://s.ua.es/5yY2 SPANISH LANGU AGE COURSE

The UA offers one free of charge Spanish language course for those students coming through Exchange programmes (Bilateral agreements). The Spanish Language Course lasts 60 hours and it is worth 6 ECTS. The ERASMUS students may obtain a maximum of 6 ECTS for all the Spanish Language Courses taken during their exchange and which are included in their Learning Agreement online.

At the University of Alicante there are also courses which do not belong to official studies: special courses (less than 200-hour courses). If exchange students are interested in these kind of courses, they must follow the procedure established by the office responsible for the particular course they want to take, and pay the corresponding fees. These special courses cannot be included in the Learning Agreement. ONLINE LEARNING AGREEMENT

The students have to elaborate, together with the coordinators at the home institutions, the proposal of the Learning Agreement. The students have to complete their learning agreement proposal through UACloud-Campus Virtual before the deadline set in the application procedure. LEARNING AGREEMENT: CHANGES

The Learning Agreement you have filled in is a preliminary study plan. Some changes in the curriculum may happen (new subjects, some courses may be cancelled) during the academic year. Once the student is studying at the University of Alicante, they should make the definitive Learning Agreement (which contains the changes done at the UA) ARRIVAL AND COURSE REGISTRATION On arrival at the University of Alicante, the students should immediately address to the Mobility Office, located at the building "Pabellón de Alumnado" (Building number 21 on the map of the Campus). In the General Information Meetings (1st Meeting) and Meeting with the Academic Coordinators of Faculty of Law (2nd Meeting), exchange students are informed about the procedure to register in the subjects. The course registration is required to enable students to do the exams and, therefore, to get the corresponding result on the Transcript of Records. ATTENTION: The students have to join the University of Alicante on the Orientation Session day assigned by this university. The date and more details of that session will be communicated by e-mail once the corresponding application period is closed. The students have to register themselves in the regular courses through UACloud-Campus Virtual, the intranet of the UA.

- 1st semester: the specific appointment/date is on the Registration Sheet. - 2nd semester: the specific appointment/date is on the Registration Sheet.

The courses the student is registered in have to coincide with the list of the courses included in their

final UA Learning Agreement online The students cannot register in courses that are not offered on their UA Learning Agreement online.

COURSE REGISTR ATION FOR THE 2N D

SEMESTER

The students who will exchange the whole academic year can wait and register in those subjects taught during the 2nd semester in January/February, and they will have to do it at the Mobility Office. Please note that there will be the possibility of adding new subjects taught only in the 2nd semester. GROUPS OF ATTENDANCE Many of the subjects are available in several groups (with different timetables) during the same term. You can attend any of these groups, and will attend your request as long as the capacity of groups allows In order to choose a group, you should take into account the timetable and the lecturer who teaches the course. NOTE: Exchange students cannot register in the Groups:

Degree in LAW, in groups 1 and 2 of the subjects in first year. Degree in BUSSINESS ADMINISTRATION+LAW, in the groups 51 and 52. Degree in CRIMINOGY+LAW, in group 21

Any question, please ask to the Mobility Office. The regular courses in the Universidad de Alicante are taught in Spanish.

CLASS ATTENDANCE

The international students start attending the classes from the 1st day (check the Academic Calendar – ANNEX II). This way, during the 1st two weeks of classes, the students can attend all the classes and all the groups in order to help them with the final selection of courses. ASSESSMENT / TRANSCRIPT OF RECORDS ASSESSMENT

Exchange students following subjects at the UA are expected to undertake the same academic work and type of assessments as home students. The assessment may be exams, exams plus course work, or any other requirement established by the corresponding teacher. CERTIF ICATE OF CLASS ATTENDANCE

ECTS credits will only be given if the students pass the assessment required for the subjects. Should students need a Class Attendance Certificates, at the beginning of the semester they have to talk to the corresponding lecturer, so that the teacher can monitor students attendance in order to provide them with the aforementioned certificate. TRANSCRIPTS OF RECORDS

The certificates (eTranscript) with the results obtained by the students will be sent by the Mobility Office to the Central International Offices of Home Institutions, in the following dates:

Around the end of February: 1st semester results. Around the end of June: 2nd semester results. Around the end of July: extraordinary exams (Exam Resits)

MARKS SHEET

Those students, who need the marks before the dates indicated above, can make use of the Marks Sheet. This document is for the teachers to fill in with the corresponding results obtained by the students and it has to be signed and stamped by the teachers. It is optional for both the students and the teachers.

QUALIFICATION SYSTEM

In the Spanish System, marks are graded from 1 to 10, and their equivalence to the ECTS system is the following:

CERTIFICATE OF STAY Most home institutions require a certificate from the University of Alicante stating the exact dates of the exchange period of their students. To obtain a Certificate of Stay, the exchange students should come to the Mobility Office before departing from the University of Alicante.

UACloud-VIRTUAL CAMPUS International students, the same as own students, can also get access to the UACLoud-Virtual Campus. This project works like an intranet with external access through the university web page and it has been developed by the University of Alicante in order to take advantage of the new technologies. In the same way it facilitates establishing contacts among teachers, students and administration staff. Through the UACLoud-Virtual Campus you can access: 1. Learning Agreement on-line 2.
