Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Messenger.

alssalamu `alayka yabna rasuli allahi

ة0 !ر! ي !ا خ0 !يك! ي !م) ع!ل ال !لس+ ا0ه ت $ن! خ!ير! ب +ه0 و! ٱلل ٱ

Peace be upon you, O choicest of Allah and son of His choicest.

alssalamu `alayka ya khiyarata allahi wabna khiyaratihi

$ن! ام0ير0 !ا ب $ك! ي !ي !م) ع!ل ال !لس+ ا0ين $م)ؤ$م0ن ٱل

Bين! $و!ص0ي ل Bد0 ي $ن! س! ب ٱو! ٱPeace be upon you, O son of the

Commander of the Faithful and son of the chief of the Prophets’successors.

wabna sayyidi alwasiyyinaalssalamu `alayka yabna amiri almu'minina

$ن! !ا ب $ك! ي !ي !م) ع!ل ال !لس+ اف!اط0م!ة!

اء0 0س! Bد!ة0 ن ي س!!م0ين! $ع!ال Peace be upon you, O son of Fatimah theٱل

doyenne of the women of theworlds.

alssalamu `alayka yabna fatimata sayyidati nisa'i al`alamina

!ار0ه0 $ن! ث ب +ه0 و! لل !ار! !ا ث $ك! ي !ي !م) ع!ل ال !لس+ ٱا ٱ)ور! $م!و$ت ل $ر! $و0ت ل ٱو! ٱ

Peace be upon you, O vengeance ofAllah, son of His vengeance, and the

unavenged so far.

alssalamu `alayka ya thara allahi wabnatharihi walwitra almawtura

و!اح0 الر$ Nك! و!ع!ل!ى$ !ي !م) ع!ل ال !لس+ ٱا0ك! !ائ 0ف0ن 0ي ح!ل+ت$ ب +ت ٱل

Peace be upon you and upon the soulsthat resided in your courtyard.

alssalamu `alayka wa `ala al-arwahi allatihallat bifina'ika

V Bي ج!م0يعا )م$ م0ن $ك !ي ع!لV !دا +ه0 اب لل !م) ال ٱس!

Peace of Allah be upon all of you fromme forever

`alaykum minni jami`an salamu allahiabadan

!ق0ي! !قيت) و!ب م!ا ب+ه!ار) لن $ل) و! +ي ٱلل as long as I am existent and as long asٱ

there are day and night.

ma baqitu wa baqiya allaylu walnnaharu

$د0 !ا ع!ب !ا اب ي+ه0 ٱلل

O Abu-`Abdullah,

ya aba `abdillahi!ق!د$ ع!ظ)م!ت0 ل

+ة) ز0ي ٱلر+unbearable is the sorrow

laqad `azumat alrraziyyatu 0و!ج!ل+ت$ و!ع!ظ)م!ت0ك! !ة) ب $م)صيب ٱل

and excruciating and unbearable is themisfortune of you

wa jallat wa `azumat almusibatu bika

!ا و!ع!ل!ىN ج!م0يع0 $ن !ي ع!ل

0 !م ال 0س$ إل ٱاه$ل0 for us and for all the people of Islam.

`alayna wa `ala jami`i ahli al-islami

و!ج!ل+ت$ و!ع!ظ)م!ت$ )ك! !ت Excruciating and unbearable has beenم)صيب

your misfortune

wa jallat wa `azumat musibatuka 0ج!م0يع Nم!او!ات0 ع!ل!ى لس+ ٱف0ي م!او!ات0 لس+ ٱاه$ل0

in the heavens for all the inhabitants ofthe heavens.

fi alssamawati `ala jami`i ahli alssamawati

+ه) ام+ةV اس+س!ت$ اس!اس! لل !ع!ن! ٱف!ل$ج!و$ر0 ل 0 و! $م ٱلظfل ٱ

$ت0 !ي $ب ل )م$ اه$ل! $ك !ي ٱع!لSo, may Allah withhold blessing from the

people who laid the basis ofpersecution and wronging against you, O

Members of the Household.

fala`ana allahu ummatan assasat asasaalzzulmi waljawri `alaykum ahla albayti

)م$ $ك +ه) ام+ةV د!ف!ع!ت لل !ع!ن! ٱو!ل)م$ ع!ن$ م!ق!ام0ك

May Allah withhold blessing from thepeople who drove you away from

your position

wa la`ana allahu ummatan dafa`atkum `anmaqamikum

0ي +ت ل )م) 0ك 0ب ات )م$ ع!ن$ م!ر! $ك !ت ال ٱو!از!+ه) ف0يه!ا لل )م) !ك +ب ت ٱر!

and removed you away from yourranks that Allah has put you in.

wa azalatkum `an maratibikum allatirattabakum allahu fiha

Vه) ام+ة+ لل !ع!ن! ٱو!ل)م$ $ك !ت !ل ق!ت

May Allah withhold blessing from thepeople who slew you.

wa la`ana allahu ummatan qatalatkum+ه) لل !ع!ن! ٱو!ل

!ه)م$ $م)م!هBد0ين! ل ٱلMay Allah withhold blessing from

those who paved the way for them todo so

wa la`ana allahu almumahhidina lahum

+م$ك0ين0 م0ن$ لت 0 ٱب)م$ 0ك !ال ق0ت

and who made possible for them tofight against you.

bilttamkini min qitalikum

+ه0 لل Nى! 0ل $ت) إ !ر0ئ ٱب$ه)م$ )م$ م0ن $ك !ي 0ل I repudiate them in the presence ofو!إAllah and You

bari'tu ila allahi wa ilaykum minhum

!اع0ه0م$ ي و!م0ن$ اش$0ه0م$ !ائ 0ي !اع0ه0م$ و!او$ل $ب و!ات

and I repudiate their devotees,followers, and loyalists.

wa min ashya`ihim wa atba`ihim waawliya'ihim

+ه0 لل $د0 !ا ع!ب !ا اب ٱي

O Abu-`Abdullah,

ya aba `abdillahikم$ ل Bي س0 0ن إ)م$ !م!ك ال 0م!ن$ س! ل

I am at peace with those who are atpeace with you

inni silmun liman salamakumkب !ىN و!ح!ر$ 0ل )م$ إ !ك ب 0م!ن$ ح!ار! ل

!ام!ة0 $ق0ي ل 0 !و$م ٱيand I am at war against those whohave fought against you up to the

Resurrection Day.

wa harbun liman harabakum ila yawmialqiyamati

mاد! +ه) آل! ز0ي لل !ع!ن! ٱو!لو!ان! و!آل! م!ر$

May Allah also withhold blessing fromthe family of Ziyad and the family of

Marwan.

wa la`ana allahu ala ziyadin wa ala marwana 0ي !ن +ه) ب لل !ع!ن! ٱو!لVة! +ة! ق!اط0ب ام!ي

May Allah also withhold blessing fromthe descendants of Umayyah

altogether.

wa la`ana allahu bani umayyata qatibata

$ن! ب +ه) لل !ع!ن! ٱو!ل ٱ!ة! ان ج! May Allah also withhold blessing fromم!ر$

the son of Marjanah.

wa la`ana allahu ibna marjanata+ه) ع)م!ر! لل !ع!ن! ٱو!ل

mع$د $ن! س! بMay Allah also withhold blessing from

`Umar the son of Sa`d.

wa la`ana allahu `umara bna sa`din+ه) لل !ع!ن! ٱو!ل

V م$را ش0May Allah also withhold blessing from

Shimr.

wa la`ana allahu shimran

Vه) ام+ة+ لل !ع!ن! ٱو!ل$ج!م!ت$ ج!ت$ و!ال ر! اس$

May Allah also withhold blessing fromthe people who saddled up, gave

reins to their horses,

wa la`ana allahu ummatan asrajat waaljamat

!ت$ !ق+ب !ن و!ت0ك! !ال 0ق0ت ل

and masked their faces in preparationfor fighting against you.

wa tanaqqabat liqitalika

$ت! 0ي ان 0اب بMay my father and mother be ransomsو!امBي

for you.

bi'abi anta wa ummi !ق!د$ ع!ظ)م! ل0ك! 0ي ب Extremely insufferable is myم)ص!اب

commiserations with you;

laqad `azuma musabi bikaم! $ر! +ذ0ي اك ل +ه! لل ال) ٱف!اس$ ٱ

0ك! 0ي ب م!ن $ر! م!ق!ام!ك! و!اكso, I beseech Allah Who has honored

your position and honored mebecause of you

fa'as'alu allaha alladhi akrama maqamakawa akramani bika

0ي ق!ن ز) !ر$ !ن$ ي ا!ار0ك! ط!ل!ب! ث

to endue me with the chance toavenge you

an yarzuqani talaba tha'rikaور� م!ع! ن�ص� ام� م م0ن$ إ م

mت0 م)ح!م+د$ !ي اه$ل0 بwith a (Divinely) supported leader from

the Household of Muhammad,

ma`a imamin mansurin min ahli baytimuhammadin

+ه) لل Nٱص!ل+ى0ه $ه0 و!آل !ي ع!ل

peace of Allah be upon him and hisHousehold.

salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

0ي $ن ج$ع!ل +ه)م+ !لل ٱاV $د!ك! و!ج0يها ن ع0

O Allah, (please) make me illustrious inYour sight

allahumma ij`alni `indaka wajihan (م! ال لس+ $ه0 !ي $ن0 ع!ل ي $ح)س! ل 0 ٱب ٱة0 آلخ0ر! !ا و! $ي لدfن ٱف0ي ٱ

in the name of al-Husayn, peace beupon him, in this world and in the

Hereafter.

bilhusayni `alayhi alssalamu fi alddunyawal-akhirati

+ه0 لل $د0 !ا ع!ب !ا اب ٱيO Abu-`Abdullah,

ya aba `abdillahi

+ه0 لل Nى! 0ل ب) إ !ق!ر+ Bي ات 0ن ٱإ0ه0 ول س) !ىN ر! 0ل و!إ

I do seek nearness to Allah, to HisMessenger,

inni ataqarrabu ila allahi wa ila rasulihi

0ين! $م)ؤ$م0ن ل !ىN ام0ير0 0ل ٱو!إ!ىN ف!اط0م!ة! 0ل و!إ

to the Commander of the Faithful, toFatimah,

wa ila amiri almu'minina wa ila fatimata

$ك! !ي 0ل $ح!س!ن0 و!إ ل Nى! 0ل ٱو!إ0ك! !ت 0م)و!اال to al-Hasan, and to you by means ofب

loyalty to you

wa ila alhasani wa ilayka bimuwalatika

!ل!ك! اء!ة0 )م0م+ن$ ق!ات !ر! $ب ل 0 ٱو!بب! $ح!ر$ ل !ل!ك! !ص!ب ٱو!ن

and by means of repudiation of thosewho fought against you and incurred your

hostility,

wa bilbara'ati (mimman qatalaka wa nasaba laka alharba

!س!اس! !س+س! ا اء!ة0 م0م+ن$ ا !ر! $ب ل 0 ٱو!ب)م$ $ك !ي $ج!و$ر0 ع!ل ل 0 و! $م ٱلظfل ٱ

0ه0( ول س) !ىN ر! 0ل +ه0 و!إ لل Nى! 0ل ) إ ا $ر! !ب ٱو!اand repudiation of those who laid the basis of persecution and wronging

against you all. I also repudiate, in the presence ofAllah and His Messenger,

wa bilbara'ati mimman assasa asasaalzzulmi waljawri `alaykum wa abra'u ila allahi wa ila rasulihi)

م0م+ن$ اس+س! 0ك! اس!اس! ذNل

those who laid the basis of all that,

mimman assasa asasa dhalika

$ه0 !ي !ىN ع!ل !ن و!ب!ه) !ان $ي )ن ب

established their foundations on it,

wa bana `alayhi bunyanahu

$م0ه0 و!ج!و$ر0ه0 ىN ف0ي ظ)ل و!ج!ر!)م$ !اع0ك ي )م$ و!علىN اش$ $ك !ي ع!ل

and continued in wronging andpersecuting you and your adherents.

wa jara fi zulmihi wa jawrihi `alaykum wa`ala ashya`ikum

+ه0 لل Nى! 0ل $ت) إ !ر0ئ ٱب$ه)م$ )م$ م0ن $ك !ي 0ل In the presence of Allah and you all doو!إ

I repudiate these.

bari'tu ila allahi wa ilaykum minhum

+ه0 لل Nى! 0ل ب) إ !ق!ر+ ٱو!ات)م$ $ك !ي 0ل )م+ إ ث

And I seek nearness to Allah and thento you all

wa ataqarrabu ila allahi thumma ilaykum

!ة0 )م$ و!م)و!اال 0ك !ت 0م)و!اال ب)م$ Bك 0ي و!ل

by means of declaring loyalty to youand to your loyalists

bimuwalatikum wa muwalati waliyyikum

اء!ة0 م0ن$ !ر! $ب ل 0 ٱو!ب)م$ 0ك اع$د!ائ

and declaring repudiation of yourenemies

wa bilbara'ati min a`da'ikum

)م) !ك 0ين! ل +اص0ب لن ٱو!ب! $ح!ر$ ٱل

and those who incur animosity of you

walnnasibina lakum alharba

اء!ة0 م0ن$ !ر! $ب ل 0 ٱو!ب!اع0ه0م$ $ب !اع0ه0م$ و!ات ي اش$

and repudiation of their adherents andfollowers.

wa bilbara'ati min ashya`ihim wa atba`ihim

0م!ن$ $مk ل ل Bي س0 0ن إ)م$ !م!ك ال س!

I am verily at peace with those whohave been at peace with you,

inni silmun liman salamakum

0م!ن$ بk ل و!ح!ر$)م$ !ك ب ح!ار!

I am at war against those who foughtagainst you,

wa harbun liman harabakum

0م!ن$ 0ي{ ل و! و!ل)م$ !ك و!اال

loyalist to those who have beenloyalist to you,

wa waliyyun liman walakum

0م!ن$ و!ع!د)و{ل)م$ and enemy of those who have shownع!اد!اك

enmity towards you.

wa `aduwwun liman `adakum

0ي م!ن $ر! +ذ0ي اك ل +ه! لل !ل) ا ٱف!اس$ ٱ)م$ 0ك 0م!ع$ر0ف!ت ب

So, I beseech Allah Who has enduedme with the honor of recognizing you

fa'as'alu allaha alladhi akramanibima`rifatikum

و!م!ع$ر0ف!ة0 )م$ 0ك !ائ 0ي او$ل

and recognizing your loyalists

wa ma`rifati awliya'ikum

اء!ة! م0ن$ !ر! $ب ل 0ي! ق!ن ز! ٱو!ر!)م$ 0ك اع$د!ائ

and Who conferred upon me withrepudiation of your enemies,

wa razaqani albara'ata min a`da'ikum

)م$ ف0ي 0ي م!ع!ك !ن !ج$ع!ل !ن$ ي اة آلخ0ر! !ا و! $ي ٱلدfن ٱ

to include me with you in this worldand in the Hereafter

an yaj`alani ma`akum fi alddunya walakhirati

)م$ $د!ك ن Bت! ل0ي ع0 !ب )ث و!ان$ ي

mق!د!م! ص0د$قة0 آلخ0ر! !ا و! $ي لدfن ٱف0ي ٱ

and to make firm step of honesty forme with you in this world and in the Hereafter.

wa an yuthabbita li `indakum qadama sidqin fi alddunya wal-akhirati

$م!ق!ام! ل 0ي! Bغ!ن !ل )ب )ه) ان$ ي ال ٱو!اس$+ه0 لل $د! ن )م$ ع0 !ك $م!ح$م)ود!ل ٱل ٱ

I also beseech Him to make me attain the praiseworthy status that youenjoy with Allah

wa as'aluhu an yuballighani almaqamaalmahmuda lakum `inda allahi

0ي ط!ل!ب! ق!ن ز) !ر$ و!ان$ ي!ار0ي ث

and to bestow upon me with thechance to take my own vengeance

wa an yarzuqani talaba tha'ri

NV0 ه)دى 0م!ام م!ع! إmظ!اه0ر

with a leader of true guidance who is(Divinely) sustained

ma`a imami hudan zahirin Bح!ق$ ل 0 !اط0قm ب ٱن

)م$ $ك م0نand expressing the truth from among you.

natiqin bilhaqqi minkum

+ه! لل !ل) ا ٱو!اس$)م$ 0ح!قBك I also beseech Allah in your namesب

wa as'alu allaha bihaqqikum)م$ !ك +ذ0ي ل ل ان0 0لش+ ٱو!ب ٱ

$د!ه) ن ع0and in the name of the standing that

you enjoy with Him

wa bilshsha'ni alladhi lakum `indahu0ي 0م)ص!اب 0ي ب !ن )ع$ط0ي !ن$ ي ا

)م$ 0ك بto recompense me for my

commiserations for you

an yu`tiyani bimusabi bikum

)ع$ط0ي !ف$ض!ل! م!ا ي ا0ه0 !ت 0م)ص0يب V ب م)ص!ابا

with the most favorite thing that Heever gives as compensation formisfortunes that has afflicted

afdala ma yu`ti musaban bimusibatihi

!ةV م!ا م)ص0يب!ع$ظ!م!ه!ا ا

(Your) misfortune has been soastounding

musibatan ma a`zamaha!ه!ا +ت ز0ي !ع$ظ!م! ر! و!ا

0 !م ال 0س$ إل ٱف0ي and so catastrophic for Islam

wa a`zama raziyyataha fi al-islami

و!ف0ي ج!م0يع0

الر$ض0 م!او!ات0 و! ٱلس+ ٱand for all the heavens and the entire

earth.

wa fi jami`i alssamawati wal-ardi

0ي ف0ي $ن ج$ع!ل +ه)م+ !لل ٱام!ق!ام0ي هNذ!ا

O Allah, (please) make me in thissituation of mine

allahumma ij`alni fi maqami hadha kو!ات! $ك! ص!ل )ه) م0ن !ال !ن م0م+ن$ ت

kة ح$م!ةk و!م!غ$ف0ر! ,one of those who receive blessingsو!ر!mercy, and forgiveness from You.

mimman tanaluhu minka salawatun warahmatun wa maghfiratun

!ا ي !اي! م!ح$ ي ج$ع!ل$ م!ح$ +ه)م+ !لل ٱاmو!آل0 م)ح!م+د mم)ح!م+د

O Allah, (please) make me live mylifetime in the same way as Muhammad and

Muhammad’sHousehold lived

allahumma ij`al mahyaya mahya ,muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

m0ي م!م!ات! م)ح!م+د و!م!م!اتmو!آل0 م)ح!م+د

and make me die on the sameprinciples on which Muhammad and

Muhammad’s Household died.

wa mamati mamata muhammadin wa alimuhammadin

0ن+ هNذ!ا +ه)م+ إ !لل اkو$م! ي

O Allah, this day

allahumma inna hadha yawmun و( !ن 0ه0 ب !ت$ ب ك !ر+ !ب ت+ة! !م!ي ا

has been regarded as blessed day bythe descendants of Umayyah

tabarrakat bihi banu umayyata 0ة! 0ل $ن) آك ب ٱو!!اد0 ٱالكب

and by the son of the liver-eaterwoman,

wabnu akilati al-akbadi

$ن) ب +ع0ين) ٱلل ٱ+ع0ين0 ٱلل

the one who is been withhold of anyblessings and son of the whom has

been withhold of any blessings

alla`inu ibnu alla`ini

0ك! ان 0س! ع!ل!ىN لBك! 0ي !ب ان0 ن 0س! by the tongue of You and by theو!ل

tongue of Your Prophet,

`ala lisanika wa lisani nabiyyika

$ه0 !ي +ه) ع!ل لل Nٱص!ل+ى0ه0 ,Allah’s peace be upon himو!آل

salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

mم!و$ط0ن Bل( ف0ي كmو!م!و$ق0ف

on every occasion and in everysituation,

fi kulli mawtinin wa mawqifin Nك! ص!ل+ىf 0ي !ب و!ق!ف! ف0يه0 ن

0ه0 $ه0 و!آل !ي +ه) ع!ل ٱللwhich Your Prophet, Allah’s peace be

upon him, attended.

waqafa fihi nabiyyuka salla allahu `alayhiwa alihi

!ة! !ان! و!م)ع!او0ي ف$ي !ا س) $ع!ن$ اب ل +ه)م+ !لل ٱا!ة! $ن! م)ع!او0ي !زيد! ب و!ي

O Allah, withhold blessing from AbuSufyan, Mu`awiyah, and Yazid son of

Mu`awiyah.

allahumma il`an aba sufyana wa mu`awiyatawa yazida bna mu`awiyata

!د! !ة) اب +ع$ن لل $ك! $ه0م$ م0ن !ي ٱع!ل0د0ين! ٱآلب

May You withhold blessings from themincessantly and everlastingly.

`alayhim minka alla`natu abada al-abidina

0ه0 آل) !و$مk ف!ر0ح!ت$ ب و!هNذ!ا يو!ان! !ادm و!آل) م!ر$ ز0ي

This is the day on which the family ofZiyad and the family of Marwan

gloated

wa hadha yawmun farihat bihi alu ziyadinwa alu marwana

$ن! ي $ح)س! ل 0ه0م) $ل 0ق!ت ٱب$ه0 !ي +ه0 ع!ل لل !و!ات) ٱص!ل

because they had killed al-Husayn,Allah’s blessings be upon him.

biqatlihim alhusayna salawatu allahi `alayhi

$ه0م) !ي +ه)م+ ف!ض!اع0ف$ ع!ل !لل ا$ك! +ع$ن! م0ن ٱلل

So, O Allah, please withhold yourblessings from them

allahumma fada`if `alayhim alla`na minka

$ع!ذ!اب! ل ٱو!) 0يم! الل ٱ)

and double for them the painfulchastisement.

wal`adhaba (al-alima)

$ك! !ي 0ل ب) إ !ق!ر+ Bي ات 0ن +ه)م+ إ !لل ا!و$م $ي ل ٱف0ي هNذ!ا

O Allah, I do seek nearness to You onthis day,

allahumma inni ataqarrabu ilayka fi hadhaalyawmi

و!ف0ي م!و$ق0ف0ي

هNذ!اon this occasion,

wa fi mawqifi hadha

0 +ام و!اي0ي !ات ي ح!

and on all the days of my lifetime,

wa ayyami hayati $ه)م$ اء!ة0 م0ن !ر! $ب ل 0 ٱب$ه0م$ !ي !ة0 ع!ل +ع$ن لل by repudiating these and invokingٱو!

Your punishment upon them,

bilbara'ati minhum walla`nati `alayhim

!ة0 $م)و!اال ل 0 Bك! ٱو!ب 0ي !ب 0ن لBك! 0ي !ب و!آل0 ن

and by declaring loyalty to YourProphet and Your Prophet’s

Household,

wa bilmuwalati linabiyyika wa ali nabiyyika

$ه0م) !ي $ه0 و!ع!ل !ي ع!ل!م) ال ٱلس+

peace be upon him and them.

`alayhi wa `alayhim alssalamu

!و+ل! $ع!ن$ ا ل +ه)م+ !لل ٱاm 0م ظ!ال

O Allah, withhold blessing from theforemost persecutor

allahumma il`an awwala zalimin

mم! ح!ق+ م)ح!م+د! ظ!لmو!آل0 م)ح!م+دwho usurped the right of Muhammad

and Muhammad’s Household

zalama haqqa muhammadin wa alimuhammadin

!ه) 0عm ل !اب و!آخ0ر! ت0ك! ع!ل!ىN ذNل

and the last follower who acceded tohis deed.

wa akhira tabi`in lahu `ala dhalika

You may then repeat the following words one hundred times:

0ي ج!اه!د!ت0 +ت ل !ة! $ع0ص!اب ل $ع!ن0 ل +ه)م+ !لل ٱا ٱ ٱ�يه0 الس!الم( $ن! )عل ي $ح)س! ٱل

O Allah, withhold blessing from thegroup that fought against al-Husayn

(A.S)

allahumma il`an al`isabata allati jahadatalhusayna (ʿalayhi al-salām)

!ع!ت$ !اي !ع!ت$ و!ب اي و!ش!0ه0 $ل !ع!ت$ ع!ل!ىN ق!ت !اب و!ت

and who supported each other againsthim, paid homage to his enemies,

and participated in slaying him.

wa shaya`at wa baya`at wa taba`at `alaqatlihi

$ه)م$ $ع!ن ل +ه)م+ !لل ٱاV ج!م0يعا

O Allah, withhold blessing from all of them.

allahumma il`anhum jami`an

!ا !ب !ا ا $ك! ي !ي !م) ع!ل ال !لس+ ا+ه0 لل $د0 ٱع!ب

Peace be upon you, O Abu-`Abdullah

alssalamu `alayka ya aba `abdillahi0ي +ت ل و!اح0 ال ر$ Nٱو!ع!ل!ى ٱ

0ك! !ائ 0ف0ن ح!ل+ت$ بand upon the souls that gathered in

your courtyard.

wa `ala al-arwahi allati hallat bifina'ika+ه0 ا لل !م) ال Bي س! $ك! م0ن !ي ٱع!ل

V !دا بPeace of Allah be upon you from me

forever.

`alayka minni salamu allahi abadan

You may then repeat the following words one hundred times:

!ق0ي! !قيت) و!ب م!ا ب+ه!ار) لن $ل) و! +ي ٱلل ٱ

as long as I am existent and as long asthere are day and night.

ma baqitu wa baqiya allaylu walnnaharu 0ع!ه$د$ ل +ه) آخ0ر! لل !ه) ! ج!ع!ل ٱو!ال ٱ)م$ 0ك ت !ار! 0ز0ي Bي ل م0ن

May Allah not cause this (visit) to bethe last of my visit to you (all).

wa la ja`alahu allahu akhira al`ahdi minniliziyaratikum

Nم) ع!ل!ى! ال !لس+ ا

$ن0 ي $ح)س! ,Peace be upon al-Husaynٱل

alssalamu `ala alhusayni$ن0 و!ع!ل!ىN ع!ل0يB ب

$ن0 ي $ح)س! ٱلupon `Ali ibn al-Husayn,

wa `ala `aliyyi bni alhusayni

!د0 !و$ال !ىN ا و!ع!ل

$ن0 ي $ح)س! ٱلupon the sons of al-Husayn,

wa `ala awladi alhusayni

!ص$ح!اب0 و!ع!ل!ىN ا

$ن0 ي $ح)س! ٱلand upon the companions of alHusayn.

wa `ala ashabi alhusayni

m 0م $ت! او+ل! ظ!ال +ه)م+ خ)ص+ ان !لل اBي +ع$ن0 م0ن 0لل ٱب

O Allah, withhold (specially) blessingfrom the foremost persecutor

allahumma khussa anta awwala zaliminbilla`ni minni

0ه0 $د!ا ب ب ٱو!V او+ال

and begin with him first,

wabda' bihi awwalan0ي! +ان لث $ع!ن0 ل )م+ ٱث ٱ0ع! اب لر+ +ال0ث! و! لث ٱو! ٱ

and then withhold blessing from thesecond, the third, and the fourth.

thumma il`an alththaniya walththalithawalrrabi`a

You may then say the following words:

!ز0يد! $ع!ن$ ي ل +ه)م+ !لل ٱاV خ!ام0سا

O Allah, withhold blessing from Yazidfifthly,

allahumma il`an yazida khamisan mاد! $ن! ز0ي +ه0 ب لل $د! !ي $ع!ن$ ع)ب ل ٱو! ٱ

!ة! ان ج! $ن! م!ر$ ب ٱو!and withhold blessing from

`Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad, the son ofMarjanah,

wal`an `ubaydallahi bna ziyadin wabnamarjanata

mع$د $ن! س! و!ع)م!ر! بV م$را ,Umar ibn Sa`d, Shimr`و!ش0

wa `umara bna sa`din wa shimran

mاد! !ان! و!آل! ز0ي ف$ي 0ي س) !ب و!آل! او!ان! و!آل! م!ر$

the family of Abu-Sufyan, the family ofZiyad, and the family of Marwan

wa ala abi sufyana wa ala ziyadin wa alamarwana

0 !و$م !ىN ي 0ل إ!ام!ة $ق0ي ٱل

up to the Resurrection Day.

ila yawmi alqiyamati

!ك! +ه)م+ ل !لل ا$ح!م$د) ٱل

!ك! 0ر0ين! ل اك لش+ ٱح!م$د! 0ه0م$ ع!ل!ىN م)ص!اب

O Allah, all praise be to You;

allahumma laka alhamdu

the praise of those who thank You fortheir misfortunes.

hamda alshshakirina laka `ala musabihim Nه0 ع!ل!ى+ 0ل $ح!م$د)ل !ل ا0ي +ت ز0ي 0 ر! ع!ظ0يم

All praise be to Allah for my greatmisfortune.

alhamdu lillahi `ala `azimi raziyyati

You may then prostrate yourself and say the following words meanwhile:

ف!اع!ة! 0ي ش! ق$ن ز) ر$ +ه)م+ !لل ٱاود0 $و)ر) ل !و$م! $ن0 ي ي $ح)س! ٱل ٱ

O Allah, (please) grant me theintercession of al-Husayn on the Day

of Coming (to You)

allahumma irzuqni shafa`ata alhusayniyawma alwurudi

$ل0ي ق!د!م! Bت !ب و!ث$د!ك! ن ص0د$قm ع0

and make for me with You a firm stepof honesty

wa thabbit li qadama sidqin `indaka

$ن0 ي $ح)س! ل ٱم!ع! $ن0 ي $ح)س! ل ٱو!اص$ح!اب0

with al-Husayn and the companions ofal-Husayn

ma`a alhusayni wa ashabi alhusayni

)و م)ه!ج!ه)م$ د)ون! !ذ!ل +ذين! ب ٱل ٱ!م) ال لس+ $ه0 !ي $ن0 ع!ل ي $ح)س! ٱل ٱ

who sacrificed their souls in defenseof al-Husayn, peace be upon him.

alladhina badhalu muhajahum dunaalhusayni

O' Alláh send Your blessings on Muhammadand the family of Muhammad.

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa alimuhammadin
