One: We all have a place at this table.

*Hymn #292 “All Beautiful the March of Days”

V1. All beautiful the march of days as season come and go;

The hand that shaped the rose hat wrought the crystal of the snow;

Hath sent the hoary frost of heaven, the flowing waters sealed;

And laid a silent loveliness on hill and wood and field.

V3. O Thou from whose unfathomed law the year in beauty flows,

Thyself the vision passing by in crystal and in rose,

Day unto day doth utter speech, and night to night proclaim,

In everchanging words of light, the wonder the Thy Name.

(Congregation may hum along.)

A SERVICE OF CONTRITION

Call to Confession:

One: Christ himself bore our sins in His body on the cross,

Many: so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness;

One: by His wounds we have been healed.

Many: So let us recognize our failure and disobedience,

One: and return to the Lord with penitence and faith.

Prayer of Confession (offered by Pastor)

RESPONSE OF REPENTANCE (choir only)

Hymn #85 “What Wondrous Love Is This”

V3. And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing on, I’ll sing on,

And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing on;

And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing and joyful be,

And through eternity I’ll sing on, I’ll sing on,

And through eternity I’ll sing on!

*SIGNING OF THE PEACE (Sign Language style. Stay in place, please.)

ANTHEM “O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus” arranged by Tom Fettke

Chancel Choir

O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, vast, unmeasured, boundless free!

Rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me.

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, love of every love the best;

‘Tis an ocean vast of blessing, ‘Tis the source of peace and rest.

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, spread His praise from shore to shore;

Sing of His greatness, sing of His goodness, sing of His love for evermore

Were you there when they pierced Him in the side?

SERVICE OF HOLY COMMUNION Pastor Ellen Thomas

RESPONDING TO GOD’S WORD

*APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ,

His only Son our Lord, who was conceived of the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried: He descended into hell.

The third day He rose again from the dead: He ascended into heaven and sitteth on the

right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and

the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE

THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts,

as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
