In January 2016 and thereafter, the application Forms DD1/DDO and the Fuel Grant claim form can be completed and processed online. These forms are required to claim Tax Relief in relation to vehicles purchased for use by people with disabilities. Step 1 - go to www.Revenue.ie and “Register for myAccount” (on the left hand side of the screen) following the onscreen instructions.

In January 2016 and thereafter, the application Forms DD1/DDO and the Fuel Grant claim form can be completed and processed online. These forms are required to claim Tax Relief in relation to vehicles purchased for use by people with disabilities. Step 1 - go to www.Revenue.ie and “Register for myAccount” (on the left hand side of the screen) following the onscreen instructions.

The following screen outlines what is needed to register for myAccount.

When you log into myAccount it will give you a range of options for services that you can undertake online. Select the Drivers & Passengers with Disabiliteis (DPD) option.

By selecting Drivers and passengers with Disability you are taken to this screen where you have a range of options that are available depending on different criteria like if you are a first time applicant you will not have the fuel grant option until you are approved for the scheme Select the appropriate category that refers to the application you wish to make.

This screen will be prepopulated with the relevant information relating to the PPS/Tax

Reference number of the person/organisation registered on myAccount.

Complete the screen below following all the prompts given.

If everything is in order and your application has been accepted, you will receive this acknowledgement screen. The exemption notification will issue in due course.

In the case of an application made by an organisation, the papers will be processed manually by the Disabled Drivers & Passengers Section and an exemption notification issued in due course.

To submit your Fuel Grant Claim, log into myAccount and select the DPD tax service. This will bring you to the sample screen below. Select the Claim Fuel Grant option and proceed.

Follow the onscreen prompts and complete the online form – your personal details will be prepopulated on the form.

You will receive a confirmation screen when you have successfully completed your claim. Your claim will be processed and the refund paid into your bank or other financial institution account.
