Identify by name & briefly describe two (2) different mise-en-scene techniques (the sets, costumes, colors, and/or composition) which add to the meanings of the segment from Gangs of New York.

Note how each technique helps us understand what is going on in the scene, or builds atmosphere, or reveals character, etc. I do NOT want you to review the quality of these elements or make any kind of review—this is an application exercise only.

Afterwards, some answers will be shared with the whole class. Written response need to be turned in after class to receive points (5 PTS. CR/NCR but ONLY if you submit a written response TODAY! If you forget, then too bad, no points).
