Your project managers and improvement specialists are responsible for overseeing complex projects, driving organisational change, influencing key stakeholders and utilising the latest technologies to support their objectives. Investing in your employees, to ensure they have the right skills and relevant training, can reap huge benefits. In addition:
• Your organisation will develop an agile delivery mindset that works for your circumstances
• Successful delivery of projects and organisational change is enabled
• Employees will become increasingly strategic and connected, developing skills beyond traditional project management practices
• Employees will focus on facilitating effective decision-making, including prioritisation of investment and agility to adapt to the changing strategic requirements of your business
• Employees will understand how new technologies such as collaboration tools and artificial intelligence can be used to enable quicker and more effective use of project management data to support decision-making
• More efficient processes
Optimise your talent while driving improvement and change
Ensuring you can attract, retain and develop talented project and change managers is key to your future commercial success. Ineffective training, or not maximising the potential of your existing talent pool, risks losing your best people – leaving you with costly recruitment and induction fees.
Embedding an agile mindset
Traditional project and change management methodologies do not fit with today’s rapidly changing commercial environment - which is why an agile mindset and flexibility are central to our programmes in project and change management.
How we can help
We focus on helping your employees develop the skills to progress through different levels of project, change and improvement management and gain professional accreditation.

Close your skills gaps.
We asked them to tell us which skills they believe are most important right now, but equally, which skills would be most important going into the next decade.
In the present, the skills they need to train and develop are relatively conventional: budgeting and cost control, project governance, and managing communications with stakeholders are all fairly standard skills in these roles, although it is useful to see where professionals think the training focus should sit in the present.
The results get really interesting when we look at the skills project managers and change managers predict they’ll need for the future: AI for scheduling and assigning resources comes out on top, and digital innovation, entrepreneurship and disruption feature in the top 10. This gives us a crucial idea of where the skills focus will sit in the future.
In April 2020 we conducted a research project that involved professionals from 10 different specialisms and four different nations to give us a detailed understanding of the skills required for their roles. This included a sample of project managers and change managers.

We’ve invested heavily in understanding the capability needs of the management and leadership job family.
This includes a forensic analysis on the skills it needs and how those skills build from one level to the next; ensuring this is built into our programme content and the way they are delivered.
We help your people to develop the knowledge and skills required to improve their project and change management capabilities, which in turn helps your organisation to achieve its objectives.
Our programmes will help to ensure you have a solid base of project managers through the Associate Project Management Level 4 programme – who can transition into improvement specialists via the Level 5 programme which includes either Agile Scrum Master qualification or Six Sigma Black Belt.
Further progression is also available through the Level 6 Improvement Leader. As these three programmes are funded through the Apprenticeship Levy, it enables you to focus your L&D budgets on additional senior talent programmes and interventions. You can also build effective talent pipelines and succession plans to develop your high potential people into senior management and executive positions using a blend of apprenticeships and other interventions.
Plugging skills gaps at every level.
