Comprehensive Foundation On Dental Implantology A comprehensive foundation on dental implantology based on lectures, case presentations, videos, and “hands-on” training to properly place dental implants on actual patients. Topics include: History of implantology; basic science of osseintegration; patient selection criteria and considerations; surgical and restorative considerations in the selection from single unit implant to multiple implant and edentulous patients; implant systems, biomechanics, surgical placement, restorative procedures of an implant system, surgical complications, prosthetic complications. By the end of the training program, the participants shall be able to: 1) Select good candidates from their current patients qualified for dental implants and market this treatment option cost-effectively to his / her patients. 2) Confidently handle most surgical / restorative complications. 3) Perform a fully edentulous implant case on an actual patient.
