Why should I care if species go extinct??

    Ecosystems provide humans with

many services for a happy, healthy life

E.g. Clean water, clean air, building materials, medicines, food, and protection from

    extreme climate events

There are many complexrelationships between plant andanimal species that sustain theseecosystems

Without wild animals the healthof whole ecosystems will decline

    The ultimate loser is humansociety

Why should I care if species go extinct?? Human society and culture have developed alongside a close relationship with wildanimals as far as records go back

Religions, arts, architecture, music have all drawn upon wild animals as a source ofinspiration.

The fate of many of these species now rests in our hands as we are currentlyleading them to extinction with our actions

If we let these animals go extinct its human culture that will ultimately lose
