A N N E X U R E - " A "

The terms " Light Home Workshop " , " Service Establishment ", " Light lndustries ", " Cottage lndustries ", " General lndustries ", "Dangerous and offensive Industries" mentioned in the above zoning regulations shall mean as under :

LIGHT HOME WORKSHOP Light home workshops means such a work place which does not create nuisance to the surrouding development in terms of noise, constant vibration, smell, smokes, soot, ash, dust of grit etc. It should not also consume electric power of more than 7.5 k.w. . . ,

SERVICE ESTABLISHMENT Service Establishment means such a work place which senres day to day needs of the surrounding residential area and which does not erect nuisance to surrounding development in terms of noise,constant vibration, smell, fumes, smoke, soot, ash, dust, grit, etc. It should not also consume electric power of more than 10 k.w.

LIGHT INDUSTRIES Light lndustries means those industries which do not consume power more than 100 k.w.

COITAGE INDUSTRIES Cottage lndustries means lndustries in rural or urban areas or at times at a place not very far from the place of residence of the worker located in small factories or at other places and employing not more than nine workers including members of family of the worker and their dependents and also occasionally including workers engaged on payment, whose number shall be very small and that such lndustries shall run with or without use of mechanicall electrical power provided that fixed capital investment in such an industry shall not exceed Rs. 25,0001-.

CUSTOMARY HOME OCCUPATION Occupation conducted only by persons residing in the dwelling, the area for such use not exceeding 25% of the total floor area of the dwelling and without any public display of goods.

OBNOXIOUS AND HAZARDOUS INDUSTRIES Obnoxious and Hazardous Industries means those l ndustries which will create nuisance to the surrounding development in terms of smell, smoke, gas, air pollution, dust, water pollution and other un-hygenic situation. A list of such industries is given at Appenix-" A . However the Chief Executive with the approval of the Authority may from time to time and to alter or amend the list these industries shall not be permitted in avy other zone excepting " Obnoxious and Hazardous Industrial zone.
