If I were to Plant a Garden…

If I were to plant a garden, I would need a big, shady tree.
And maybe a gazebo,
And a swing for you and me.
I would need lots of soft, green grass where we could play and roam.
And pine straw, soil, and bushes
For the critters who call this
garden home.
If I were to plant a garden, here is what I’d do:
I’d start with pretty red roses,
And beautiful blue hydrangea, too.
A few white lilies here and
there,
With pink chrysanthem
ums everywhere.
If I were to plant a garden, a cobblestone path would cross
right through.
I’d plant ferns along the edges
Leaving room for mushrooms to
grow, too.
Colorful flowers of all shapes and sizes would be the stars of my garden’s
show.
And last but not least, I’d need plenty of sunshine to help my garden
grow!
If I were to plant a garden, there’s so much that I could do.
If you were to plant a garden, tell me… What would you do?
