Vigo At NightVigo At NightFor night owls the city offers a wide range of leisure areas. The relaxed ambience of the city or beach terrrace bars, or the more upbeat zones where underground and discos offer you a cool place to stut your stuff. It´s no wonder that Vigo was considered the capital of the “movida de los 80”(the

general cultural movement which erupted across spain after the transition to democracy). It was said that “Madrid was

spelt with V for Vigo”

Rande bridgeRande bridge

In 1702, The Battle of Rande (or Battle of Vigo Bay) took place at the entrance to vigo estuary. In said battle the Franco-Hispanic fleet lost part of their shipment of gold (and the galleons which guarded it) to the Anglo-dutch coalition. Even today, international treasure hunters come to test the veracity of the legend that most of the gold was never unloaded and lies hidden somewhere in the depths of the bay, a legend which Jules Verne inmortqalized in “Twenty Thousdand Leagues under the Sea”.

THE DUSKEra un suspiro lánguido y sonoro
