Someone runs through some woods with people chasing them firing lasers towards him.

The person being chased then runs into a building and drinks from a chemical on a desk.

At this point, the chasers burst in. The chemical makes the drinker invulnerable to weapon fire, so they get shot at and nothing happens to them.

The person who was originally chased then starts a firefight and ends up killing the attackers.

Effects Demo

Some of the scenes I discussed in the last slide require some special effects to be used. I have evaluated the feasibility of these effects and have compiled a small preview of some of these effects:

Props and Location

The location that I will use to film the video will be the woods next to college and parts of the college building itself.

I will also need some glasses full of coloured liquid (food colouring with water or squash) to act as chemicals and a “laser gun” (water pistol).

How my Research helped

My research into drum and bass videos gave me lots of inspiration. The ideas for the location came from looking at the location of lots of videos on the internet – lots seem to be based in the middle of nowhere in woodlands.

The idea for the main plot taking a slight sci-fi twist was from the music track itself. The music track sounds a bit sci-fi like. As Andrew Goodwin states; “a music video is a clip in which that music is made visual”, the music video should respond to the clip of music so the sci-fi twist to the plot is responding to the sci-fi sound of the music.

Target Audience

The target audience for my product would be younger males, roughly 16-25 years old.

They would be the sort of people who listen to this genre of music or would watch sci-fi films.

Health and Safety issues

- Filming in the woods means debris and logs on the floor that I need to make sure no one trips over

- Equipment needs to be covered over or otherwise protected to make sure that no rain can damage it

- We need to watch out for people cycling and walking through the woods so that we don’t cause an obstruction or accident

- Care needs to be taken when carrying tripods around so that no one gets hit and nothing gets damaged

- Crossing the road outside the wood in College requires care to make sure no one gets hit by a car
