Things I did, 2014: Performance-duet for young audience and children at Dansekapellet 2014

Choreographer: Nana Kjær Regner and Ida Frost

Performers: Nana Kjær Regner and Ida Frost

Mentor: Priscilla Lind Rasmussen

The piece evolves around the theme of finding yourself but constantly struggling with the

facets inside you. The two non-gender performers are one person who struggles to find the

capacity to in the end embrace one-self.

If you see from 3.30 min. you can hear the youngster’s and the children's reaction when we

find each other/ourself in the “mirror” and allow the curiosity to dominate for a while.

Talking GENDERS Youth Project - Himherandit Production, 2016

Artistic Director: Andreas Constantinou

Project Manager and Artistic mentors: Dagmara Bilon and Ida Frost

The talking GENDERS Youth Exhibition was the result of a summer intensive creative

process The Talking Gender Youth Project, I together with Dagmara Bilon facilitated in

Århus at Brobjergskolen and Bora Bora. A creative development project that offered 10

young individuals the opportunity for creative workshops, social discussion and presentation

in a professional performing arts venue.

The project featured the explorations and diverse perspectives from a Young person’s point

of view on the discourse of gender, sexuality and identity.

The aim of the exhibition was to bring awareness of how young people today experience

gender?

The pictures above show a piece of our process with writing and drawing among other

things. The next two pictures are examples of an exploration and from two of the participants

to get closer to the final work. The last two ones with the little girl Signe, is the technician’s

daughter, who visited the exhibition and the performance floor. I loved her way of

investigating and experience the pieces and actually enjoying them and allowing herself to

interact with them. I think that is something that could be to brought further in the PUSH

project.
