As Iowa's oldest city, Dubuque's "Riverboat Victorian" architecture; proximity to the Mississippi River; and colorful history have made it a "natural" for filmmakers. In fact, "F.l.S.T." and "Take This Job and Shove It," as well as other produc­tions, were filmed here.

From the wide banks of the Mighty Mississippi to scenic rivers and spar­kling blue water lakes, from rolling prairies to wooded hills and steep, rocky bluffs-Iowa has natural beauty at every turn. Embedded in this divergent landscape are cities and towns, all inhabited by warm and friendly people.
