Head designer, John Prikryl, will be here from Melbourne to update you on the latest trends and to offer individual styling sessions, along with the team from Rodd & Gunn. Zoli Szalardi demonstrates the bespoke craftmanship and skill required to create a handmade leather bag.

Executive Chef, Paul Froggatt, presents a stunning Winemaker’s Dinner, with Dr Stephanie Lambert, who will share her passion for the fabulous Amisfield wines she creates.

Liz Wheadon, General Manager, Glengarry Wines, talks about sherry and port, with a tutored tasting, accompanied by Spanish tapas dishes.

voices, fine cuisine and stunning wines.

Master of ceremonies, Jonathan Alver, will share experiences from his extraordinary world of theatre, screen and event production. In his role as Director of the New Zealand Opera School he introduces emerging artists from the NZOS, whose recitals promise to transport you to the magical world of Italian Opera.

Our guest chef, Stefano Manfredi, comes from Sydney especially to create a five-course Italian dinner complemented by wines from Misha’s Vineyard. Misha Wilkinson’s mother was a highly regarded opera singer so she will share stories of this world, as well as her wonderful Central Otago wine.

Stefano will also demonstrate how to make a perfect Italian risotto at home.

his year, The Family of Twelve – a fraternity of New Zealand’s most prestigious and enduring artisanal

wineries: Kumeu River, Villa Maria Winery, The Millton Vineyard, Craggy Range, Ata Rangi, Palliser Estate, Neudorf Vineyards, Nautilus Estate, Lawson’s Dry Hills, Fromm Winery, Pegasus Bay and Felton Road celebrate their 10th anniversary.

To honour this, in the best possible way, we have asked wine writer John Hawkesby to make a personal selection of superb red wines from The Family of Twelve wineries for a spectacular Big Red Dinner.

Executive Chef, Paul Froggatt and his team will create a fine dining menu especially to match each superb Family of Twelve wine presented.

To ensure you get to sample and enjoy wine styles from all the members, there will be a wine and food match workshop during the afternoon. In the evening, pre-dinner drinks with canapés, will also feature Family of Twelve wines.

From 01 May – 30 September 2015 the Huka Lodge rates are from NZ$795.00 + gst per person, per night (double/twin occupancy), for a Junior Lodge Suite. The Owner’s Cottage and Alan Pye Cottage start from NZ$1,850.00 + gst per person, per night (double/twin occupancy).

All rates are inclusive of accommodation, pre-dinner drinks and canapés, superb five-course dinner, country breakfast, use of all Lodge facilities, and return Taupo Airport transfers will be provided, if required.

While every endeavour will be made to follow this programme of ‘Events’ in the order and form in which it is currently published, there could be last-minute changes due to circumstances beyond our control.
