C r o a t i a !In your hands you are holding the Camping catalogue of Croatia. Organized
on the cluster principle and filled with attractive photographs that will often tell
you more about the camps than words alone, this brochure is an easy-to-use
listing of all the camps with all the necessary information. It is an exhaustive
review that provides descriptions and a pictographic legend for quicker, easier
use. This is a brochure that you will be pleased to have while planning your next
vacation. Do not hesitate, take a look inside and find out for yourself what this
beautiful country of ours has to offer.
A rather special category are nature camps of very high standards,
beauty in both appearance and location and, above all, security.
Croatian nature camps are indeed oases where freedom is treasured
and where a true return to nature can be realized.
Whether you are traveling with you own camper, or you decide on the
spot to rent a trailer, room, bungalow or mobile home, one thing is cer-
tain - our standards are not dissimilar from the European ones. So, turn
to the following pages, read through the catalogue and take the first
step towards the vacation of your dreams. Wake up beneath an open
sky canopy of thousands of stars in the country of a thousand islands.
Wake up in Croatia! We are waiting for you with a smile.
Accessible from every corner of Europe in only few hours drive,
especially with the recent additions to its modern highway system, or
with just an airline flight of an hour or two, the Croatian coast really is
your closest vacation destination in the European Mediterranean. With
its beautifully preserved nature, its pleasant climate, its clean sea with
more than a hundred beaches on which blue flags fly (the international
ecological symbol of cleanliness of sea and beaches), its rich cultural
and historical heritage and its delectable local cuisine with unmistake-
ably Mediterranean flavours, Croatia is well on the way of becoming, if
not quite the best, then certainly the most attractive camp destination in
the Mediterranean.
In addition to their size, facilities they offer and the beauty of their
surroundings ranging from the veritable small camping towns that
predominate in Istria (camp settlements with a wide range of infrastuc-
tural amenities and attractions for leisure time) - to the smaller camps,
situated in the gardens and courtyards of private homeowners, most
frequently found in Dalmatia - Croatian camps provide a wide scope
of activities for all target groups - from families with children and older
people seeking a peaceful, high-quality vacation, to the younger, more
adventurous guests seeking a more dynamic vacation.

Do you love an active vacation in unison with nature? Do you prefer dreaming
in the shade of fragrant pine-trees to staying in a comfortable room in a luxury
hotel? Do you believe in the force and power of really being in touch with Na-
ture? Then you are in the right place! Welcome to Croatia, a unique camping
and caravaning destination, your nearest part of the Mediterranean!
What makes Croatia such a special place on the map of Europe? To begin
with, here are a few details: Croatia has 5,835 kilometers of richly indented
coastline, it boasts an incredible number of island and isles 1,185 to be
precise, and as many as 8 national parks. In addition to the enviable number
of protected areas, nature parks and nature reserves, Croatia also has six
localities that are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Taking great
pride in its title of being a land of a thousand islands and blessed with a
singularly beautiful maritime landscape crowned by numerous picture-perfect,
small stone-built towns dotted across the mainland coastal aera and the
islands, Croatia is indeed a precious garden of Europe which captivates with
its indigenous quality.

And it is precisely along this coastline and across the islands, where
over 100 beaches fly the prestigious blue flag of ecological sound-
ness, that 98% of our camping capacities are located. With its mild,
pleasant Mediterranean climate and the extraordinarily rich and varied
landscapes of its continental regions - from the magical green hills
and mountains to its tumbling river rapids, lakes and nature parks
- Croatia is a country offering unforgettable experiences. A veritable
hidden garden practically tailored for every true camper.
To everything already said above, we should add that every year,
and mostly in the summer months, this country stages numerous
film, theater, music and dance, and folklore festivals, exhibitions
and a wide variety of other cultural events which include visits by the
foremost world and local artists who perform in historic venues like
the Pula Arena, the Split Peristile and the walls of Dubrovnik. There
is also a wide selection of small and charming popular festivities of
traditional character, one of the essential parts of which is savouring
the light, healthy and most definitely delectable local Mediterranean
cuisine topped with outstanding quality of olive oils, and washed
down with the heavenly, locally produced wines. To put it in a
nutshell, Croatia truly is a country with a long list of reasons to visits it
and to come back to!

We extend our warm welcome to you and we are pleased and proud that you have decided to visit our country. The Croats call their country Our beautiful Homeland the starting verse of the Croatian national anthem. The Republic of Croatia is a European parliamentary state and a part of European political and cultural history. By size it is classified among the medium size European countries such as Denmark, Ireland, the Slovak Republic or Switzerland. Croatia is a land of open frontiers and clear cut customs regulations. It is also a land of concord and one that is respectful towards its guests. We Croats strive to make Our beautiful Homeland equally beautiful to all who visit it, and we do our best to ensure that they take with them only beautiful memories.
