Open Enrollment for Some Optional Benefits Employees have the opportunity to enroll in various optional benefit packages or make changes to their current coverage. The open enrollment period for Legal Resources and Aflac is 9/1-9/30. Employees may sign up for life insurance coverage at any time. The Commonwealth also offers long-term care. Professional Development Circles (PDCs) will be small groups of leaders who meet regularly to provide knowledge, support each other, build connections, and grow their skills. Applications will be accepted 8/23-9/17. For more information visit the PDC webpage. Plan to Use Annual Leave It's important to take time away from work for mental health and wellness. Work with your manager or supervisor to plan ahead and ensure you can use your leave and reduce your balance by January 9, 2022. Remember faculty/staff will need 32 hours of annual leave for the university Winter Closing. Visit the HR Leave website for details on carryover limits and university holidays. Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) Agreements Late last month, HR launched a new Flexible Work Arrangement forms site which will house telework (full-remote, hybrid, or sporadic), alternate schedule, and hybrid arrangements. All employees who are utilizing any form of flexibility are to have an active agreement on file in the system. Leadership in the Future Workplace This new, three-part program aims to provide managers and supervisors with best practices for leading in-person, hybrid, and remote teams.
