HP Notebook DMI Support Utility Instructions INTRODUCTION The HP DMI Utility Object Codes are an archive of software to create a bootable diskette image containing HP Object Code, providing the means to create Serial Numbers and modify certain identifying branding information on Hewlett-Packard or HP branded notebook computers. License allows licensee to use HP DMI Utility Object Codes but gives no right to any Source Code. DMI Utility Files - HPBQ142_REV1_US.exe - HPBQ189.exe - HPBC228.exe - HPI103.exe - MANVS3A.exe INSTRUCTIONS: - Create a bootable disk or thumb drive - Copy the appropriate DMI utility exe file to the disk/thumb drive - Boot the unit from this disk - At the A: prompt, type the file name (i.e. HPBQ180) - From this point the utility should be self explanatory HARDWARE PLATFORMS AFFECTED: Refer to the Platform Series Matrix contained in the HP Notebook DMI Utility Process Overview document.
