Transcript of How To Prevent Vehicle Hydroplaning

Losing control over vehicles always frightens the

driver…..

And if the vehicle is hydroplaning, then it can be a dangerous situation for the driver to gain control over it..

What Is Hydroplaning ???????

It ‘s a situation, where your vehicle starts to skid

or slide on the wet surface ….

A layer of water comes in between the tires and the road and

that makes the vehicle to float on the surface..

This situation prevents the ability of steer and also creates a terrifying feeling of helplessness in the driver..

Rubber tires are helpful in this situation : The rubber tire grooves--- that are designed to scatter the water

beneath the tire, creates a friction on the road surface that prevents or

minimizes the intensity of hydroplaning ..

Tire maintenance :

The main part of hydroplaning is the tires, if they are

not maintained as per owners manual, they can lose

traction in wet surfaces..

Reduce vehicle speed :

If you are on 50mph on highways at time of rain,

then you might feel the effect of losing control…

Avoid Puddles:

Avoid Sudden Breaking :

Don’t steer at time of hydroplaning as it will make the

vehicle out of control..

Step -2

To gain steering control again, make sure to steer

towards the direction of hydroplaning

Step -3

As vehicle comes to control again, wait for some time

to feel whether the tires are in right traction…
