HOW TO LOCATE STORAGE USED IN OFFICE 365

Step 1

Log in to your organizational Office 365 Account as the Organizational Admin. Click on

the “Admin” service on the main menu.

Step 2

On the left side bar, locate and click on “Reports”

Step 3

Identify which service you are looking to run a storage report on. There are sections

for “Mailbox Usage,” Sharepoint “Tenant Storage Metrics,” “Team Site Storage,” and

“OneDrive for Business Storage.”

MAILBOX USAGE REPORT

Step 1

Click into “Mailbox Usage” in the main Reports dashboard. You should be brought to a

bar graph as shown below:

Step 2

Click on the Total bar to populate an Individual User Usage Screen. This screen will

provide a list of storage amounts for each user, along with percentages but no actual

totals. Click the “download csv file” link to sum up the total storage amounts in an

Excel spreadsheet format.

SHAREPOINT USAGE REPORT - TENANT STORAGE

Step 1

Click on “Tenant Storage Metrics” in the main Reports dashboard. You will be brought

to a screen with a line graph indicating storage usage for your SharePoint service.

Step 2

If you hover your mouse over the farthest right point on the graph, you will be able to

see the most current storage usage for your SharePoint environment.

SHAREPOINT USAGE REPORT - TEAM SITE STORAGE

Step 1

Click on “Team Site Storage” in the main Reports dashboard. You will be brought to a screen

with a line graph indicating storage usage from your SharePoint Team Site service.

Step 2

If you hover your mouse over the farthest left point on the graph, you will be able to

see the most current storage usage for your SharePoint Team Site environment.

ONEDRIVE USAGE REPORT

Step 1

Click on “OneDrive for Business Storage” in the main Reports dashboard. You will be

brought to a screen with a line graph indicating storage usage for your OneDrive for

Business service.

Step 2

If you hover your mouse over the farthest right point on the graph, you will be able to

see the most current storage usage for OneDrive for Business environment.
