How to sign up for MPN Membership

Create MPN Membership – 1. Navigate to https://partner.microsoft.com/

2. Click sign in and use MPN credentials (if you have none, click Create one!)

3. Once signed in, click Dashboard at the top of the screen

4. Click on Get started under Microsoft Partner Network

5. Then click Join now >

6. Under Get started – Enter your email address

a. Must be company/unique domain. Cannot use personal address like outlook.com or gmail.com

7. Fill out information about your company then click Accept and continue

8. Wait for your account to be verified – emailed verification is sent to default admin email address

9. Find verification email and click link to verify ownership of email address

How to associate MPN with D&H as Indirect CSP Provider

Earn more from Microsoft programs, incentives and rebates!

Microsoft offers a number of incentives and rebates to their various channels and they are regularly changing. Therefore, they require diligent management in order to achieve the greatest incentive.

After signing up for MPN, be sure to add D&H Distributing Co. as your CSP Indirect Provider. This can be done man-ually by click on the link below and accepting the agreement.

Alternatively, you can use the Indirect Reseller Experience service available to all D&H customers via the D&H Cloud Marketplace.

Order Indirect Reseller Experience 1. Select your Reseller Account (top in hierarchy)

2. Click Add Service in the action bar

3. Select Indirect Reseller Experience service. Click Next

4. In the Configuration Step, you are prompt to fill in two fields

a. Reseller Tenant ID

i. If you are already associated with D&H as an Indirect Reseller, enter your Tenant ID. It will be automatically verified and will let you continue the order. Find your ID here

ii. If you are not yet associated with D&H, enter random content in the box. The verification will proceed and show you an error message. Follow the link offered to you: it will associate you with D&H as an Indirect Reseller. You can then find your Reseller Tenant ID and enter it in the field.

b. Datacenter

i. Global: Sell offerings from Microsoft Global Data Centers (only option)

5. Click Finish to provision the service

How to take advantage of Microsoft Internal Use Rights

Once you have signed up for the Microsoft Partner Network and connected to D&H as your CSP Indirect Provider, you’ll start to earn Internal Use Rights and other incentives based on your sales and competency achievement.

First, head over to Microsoft Partner Center for an overview of the competencies you have achieved and those you are still progressing towards. Your benefit is based on the various types of competencies and level achieved.

Next, once you have determined the software and cloud products made available you based on your incentives, you can head over to the Partner Center benefits section. This will allow you to browse through the Azure and cloud, Software, Visual Studio, and other IURs you have available.

Select the incentive and click on Get Keys to redeem your IUR

How to obtain Microsoft marketing collateral and assets

Direct Go-to-Market material is available to Microsoft Partners who have achieved certain competency levels. Sim-ply go to the Go-to-Market Benefits section of Partner Center to see what you have access to.

How to Assign or Create a Microsoft Tenant in the D&H Cloud Marketplace

Purchase an Azure CSP Subscription – 1. Select the end user account under the Company Hierarchy section on the left

2. Select New Service located at the bottom toolbar (make sure customer account is selected and not a user or other service)

3. In the Select Service window, select Microsoft Organization Tenant and click Next

4. Make sure the box is checked and click Next to agree to the Terms and Conditions

5. Under the Service Configuration window:

a. Check the box if Existing Office 365 customer, if new and creating their Tenant, leave unchecked

b. Enter their “subdomain” name from Microsoft or enter new one; wait for system to verify name is available or that the domain exists

c. Fill out the rest of the required info

i. Note the formatting requirements

6. Click Finish

Provisioning take approximately 60 – 90 seconds to complete.

How to Change Existing Office 365 subscriptions 1. Select the end user account under the Company Hierarchy section on the left

2. Find and select the appropriate subscription (in this example, Office 365 Business Essentials)

3. Under Service Configuration, click on the pencil to the right of the Number of CSP licenses

4. Change quantity and click the checkmark

5. Then make sure you click Save

Purchase 3rd Party Resource with Azure Resource Manager – 7. Sign into Azure Resource Manager using your reseller admin creds

8. Select your customer’s directory from the Directory + Subscription menu from top right

9. Optional: From here you can confirm you have access to newly created Azure CSP Subscription by selecting Subscriptions from the menu on the left

a. If subscriptions is not listed as a favorite, you can access it from All Services

b. Asd

10. Click Create a Resource and search for desired service

11. Select the desired service, review the Overview and Plans + Pricing sections and click Create to begin configuration

12. Each 3rd party service will have a unique menu that follows. Fill out the required fields and make sure to select the Microsoft CSP Azure subscription under Subscription

How to use native Microsoft tools for Azure assessment and migration

Microsoft offers several free tools and services for self-administrated technical assessments. Typically these services may require a more hands-on approach to the data gathering process compared to other 3rd party options but very little. With these tools and applications, even a novice cloud technician would be able to evaluate a customer’s IT environment and provide them with an cost and configuration estimate for that cloud migration.

Azure Migrate

The first of these tools is Azure Migrate. This service provides a centralized hub to track your discovery, assessment, and ultimate migration of an on-premises infrastructure, applications, and data to Azure.

Azure Migrate provides:

• Unified migration platform: A single portal to start, run, and track your migration journey to Azure

• Range of tools: The hub provides Azure Migrate tools assessment and migration, and integrates with other Azure services, as well as other tools and independent software vendor (ISV) offerings

• Workloads: Azure Migrate provides assessment and migration for:

· Servers: Use Azure Migrate Server Assessment, Azure Migrate Server Migration, and other tools, for assessment and migration of servers to Azure VMs.

· Databases: Leverage Microsoft and ISV tools for assessment and migration of on-premises databases to Azure SQL DB, or Azure SQL Managed Instance.

· Web applications: Use Azure App Service Assistant to assess and migrate on-premises web applications to Azure App Service.

· Virtual desktops: Use ISV tools to assess and migrate on-premises virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) to Windows Virtual Desktop in Azure.

· Data: Use the Azure Data Box family of products to quickly and cost-effectively migrate large amounts of data to Azure.

How to use Nerdio through D&H for Azure and Office 365 management

Become a D&H/Nerdio Partner• Contact [email protected] to make your request

• Be sure to include the following information:

· Company name

· Address

· Admin first and last name

· Admin email address

• Utilize provided admin credentials to access Nerdio Admin Center

Use Nerdio Cost Estimator

Once logged in, you will be able to create custom quotes for Nerdio deployments

1. On the left, click the arrow next to Billing, then click NFA cost estimator

2. First select the use case, or plan, needed for deployment

a. IaaS – For deployments comprising entirely of backend infrastructure; no VDI

b. DaaS – a VDI-only solution. Will deploy WVD environment for any number of users without additional infrastructure such as domain or member servers

c. ITaaS – Complete deployment of WVD desktops, servers, application and backup

3. Depending on your previous selection, the next steps may vary. Follow instructions and contact [email protected] with questions

Create Nerdio for Azure customer account1. In the Nerdio Admin Portal, under the Accounts panel, click Add NFA account

2. Select the plan you wish to deploy:

a. NFA Enterprise – ITaaS solution

b. NFA Professional – DaaS solution

c. NFA Core – IaaS solution

3. Your previous selection with determine the rest of the setup. In each, however, the next step is to connect the new NFA account to an Azure and Office 365 account. This is done using Global Admin credentials to the subsequent accounts. Then name the Account.

4. Once named and connected, then select the elements of your deployment and fill out the information where required. Deployment can take between 4 – 6 hours.

Add an existing Azure account to CloudCheckr Management

1. After logging in, select New Account

2. Enter a name for the Account, typically a reference to the customer

3. Select Microsoft Azure as the cloud services provider and click Create

You must consent to giving CloudCheckr read-only access to billing, inventory, and other meta-data in order to continue

4. From the dropdown menu, select Collect resource information from my Azure subscription

5. Follow the instructions and enter required information

CloudCheckr Management

After the Account has been created, allow 1 – 2 hours for data collection to occur. Once ready, select the account to enter their account management.

• Savings

· This section will show you at a glance all idle resources and reserved purchase recommendations.

• Best Practices

· This section will evaluate your cloud environment and make suggestions for changes based on CloudCheckr’s best practices. These are categorized as well as prioritized for your convenience.

• Cost

· Alerts: This section allows you to create alerts based on cost budgets or changes to resources
