HOW TO… INTEGRATE BW WEB APPLICATIONS INTO EP 5.0

1 Business Scenario How to effectively disseminate web applications? Having developed numerous web applications with the new Web Application Designer delivered with BW 3.x, you are faced with the challenge to make the reports easily accessible to users.

2 Introduction Via the web application designer, BW provides a utility to not only design reports but also to ease the integration of web applications into SAP Enterprise Portal 5.0 (EP 5.0). This document will detail the step-by-step process of creating a simple web application and integrating it into EP 5.0.

4. After you selected the query, save your web application either in your favorites or under a role with 'Web Template -> Save As...' from the menu.

5. You can test your web application by selecting ‘Web Template -> Execute in browser…’ from the menu. If you selected the Demo Cube Query you should get something that looks like this. The complete template is contained in Appendix A.

You can maintain the logial system name via IMG: SAP Web Application Server -> System Administration -> Change & Transport System -> Confugure Clients.
