    steel scrap with a shipper to the Netherlands. The

    police requires for their control the registration in the

    Dutch NIWO list of both, the disposal company and

    the appointed shipper.

    ► Aim: Clarifying European law guidelines or cross-

    border freight haulage.

    companies to distribute fruit juices in 5 liter

    containers.

    ► Aim: Inspection of the European legal base

    (regulation) as well as the interim annulment of the

    prohibition decision and cancellation of the

    prohibitive legal norm of 5 litre containers.

    ► Case: United States legislation mandating the

    scanning at foreign ports of all US bound maritime

    containers starting 2012.

    ► Problem: 100% scanning would require sizable

    investments, increase transport costs significantly

    and entail massive welfare losses.

    ► Aim: Call for the abolition or modification of the

    legislation.
