How to Implement LibraryThing:

1. Simply go to the website: http://www.librarything.com/, and you will see a screen like this:

2. On your right hand side, click on the icon “Join Now”, and you will see something like this:

3. You can fill in your information and the click on the “Join Now”.

4. After you have done with creating the account, you will see a welcome screen, like this:

5. Then there are a variety of options you can explore. On the screen, you will see a few tabs like; Home, Profile, Your Books, add Books, Talk, Groups Local etc. They are the major tabs you might you use in LibraryThing. By clicking on Profile, you can add more information about your LibraryThing account.

6. After clicking on Profile, you can click on Profile and account settings which will enable to edit your profile where you can edit information about you, your pictures etc, something like this:

7. Then comes the most important thing Books, the third tab is called Your Books, where it will show all the books you have added, since you just created an account, there might be no books, so you can switch to the next tab called Add Books, where you will see a screen like this:

On you left hand side, you can search the book you want and add them to your collection, you always not need to name of the books, you can search the books by the ISBN as well or any other information like the authors name etc. Once you click on search you will get the results in the box located on the right side of the web page, from where you can choose the book you want to add to your collection and click on it. After you click on the book you want it adds it in your list of books. You can then add tags to the books too.

9. Once the book has been added, you can click on the Your Books tab and view the book or books you have added, now the screen will look like this:

10. Since I added Twilight, it shows that. Now you can Rate, Review and change the details of the book, you can also delete the book too and make other changes too by clicking on the small icons on the right.

11. Once you are done with adding your books now you can show the books to the world that means display it on your webpage. Click on the Home tab, on your right hand corner you will see a small tab in blue called Widgets, click on the Widgets customize the way you want and as you make changes it will display on your right that how the widget is going to look like on your web page or blog something like this:

12. Once you are done customizing the widget, click on Refresh and there will be a HTML code displayed in the box name “Embed this widget, copy the code and enter into your web page editing software or blog. That is it you are done and remember you can explore way too many features in LibraryThing.
