How to Delete a Test Score

This training module covers how to delete a test score from a customized test within the McKessonAssessment Tools system.

We will be working from within two different areas of the system: first, deleting individual or multiple testscores from the Score Summary screen, and, second, deleting an individual score from theRespondent Edit screen.

Getting Started

Since you can only delete results that exist within a customized test, the first step is to view the list ofcustomized tests with results on the Assessment Information panel. If you scroll down you’ll see thereare two groups of tests available: McKesson assessments for which you have received links . . .


. . . and the 2010-SAMPLE-DEMO-YOURCO test, which is, indeed, a customized test copied from the2010-SAMPLE-DEMO test below, and created for demonstration purposes only. You should be familiarat this point with copying tests in order to customize them, but if necessary, stop here and view thedemonstration video covering Customization: How to Copy a Test before continuing.


When a customized test contains results, a magnifying glass icon will appear underneath the Actionscolumn next to the test name. To delete the test scores, click on the magnifying glass icon to view theAssessment Results screen.


Result Control Panel

Now look toward the right side of the screen, in the Result Control Panel, find the View Score Summarybutton, and click it to go to the Score Summary screen.


Delete Selected Respondents

Here you will see a list of all the people that have taken the test. One way you can delete test results isto select the checkboxes next to each name you wish to delete, after which you click the DeleteSelected Respondents button.


Warning Message

This brings up a warning message, telling you that once the score is deleted there is no way to retrieveit again. The deletion is permanent, so you want to be absolutely sure that you’ve selected the correctrecords before clicking the Confirm button. Here you can see that the names are correct, confirmingthese are the records you wish to delete, so click the Confirm button to complete the action.


This returns you to the Score Summary screen where you can see that these records have indeedbeen deleted.


Using the Respondent's Action Icon

Another way to delete a test score is to click the Action icon associated with the respondent’s name.Making sure that the correct respondent record has been chosen, click the Action icon next to thatname.


Respondent Edit Screen

This will bring you to the Respondent Edit screen, which provides all the details related to the selectedrespondent.

Scroll down to the lower third portion of the screen, and you’ll see there are several Actions available,the last one being “Delete this respondent and his or her results.” Simply click the radio buttonassociated with this action, followed by the Submit button. Because you are actually inside the onerespondent record that is being deleted, you are less likely to select and delete the wrong one usingthis approach. That is why it is recommended that you work from within the Respondent Edit screenany time you wish to delete a single record.



Once again, you are presented with a warning screen to ensure that the proper record is being deleted.Check the name, and click the Confirm button to complete the action.



This will return you to the Score Summary screen where you can confirm that the record has beendeleted.



This training module covered how to delete test scores from two different areas of the system. Bothmethods achieve the same result; however, one is more useful for deleting several different test scores,while the other allows you very discrete control in deleting a single test score.
