How To Become A Licensed Zumba Instructor

Learn how to become a licensed Zumba Instructor that earns 6-figures

Introduction

Becoming a licensed Zumba instructor is a great decision that will allow you to become self-employed, while being fit and meeting a ton of new people all at the same time. At the end of this presentation I will even be showing you how to earn 6-figures as a Zumba instructor!

Perquisites

The only requirement of a Zumba Instructor is that you be 18 years of age or older. You can take the course if you are 16 or 17, but parental consent and a waiver form will be required.

Step 1) – Get Experience

Before even thinking about becoming a certified Zumba instructor you want to make sure you have experience with the various Zumba dance styles. It is recommended that you attend at least 3 classes a week until you feel comfortable with all the different levels before you consider teaching.

Step 2) – Choose A Zumba License

You have two choices initially when becoming licensed as a Zumba instructor and that is either Zumba Basic 1 Or Zumba Jump Start Gold. Zumba Basic 1 is what most people choose, the only difference with Zumba Jump Start Gold is that you can teach active older adults who wouldn’t be able to attend a regular Zumba class.

Step 3) – Find Instructor Training

When you have decided which license you want to go after you will simply need to visit Zumba.com and then find a training course in your area. You can register and pay directly for the course from Zumba.com’s website. Be sure to book early as you pay more if you leave it until the last minute.

Step 4) – Complete The Course

Once you have registered mark the date down on your calendar. On the actual day of a course be sure to bring with you a towel, water, a sweatshirt, a healthy snack, lunch, easy-flowing sneakers, a notepad for taking notes and pen.

Step 5) – Start Your Zumba Career

Now that you are certified you can start your Zumba career and begin teaching your own Zumba classes or try to become an instructor for an already established class. You can of course also continue your Zumba education and become licensed with Aqua Zumba, Zumbatomic, Zumba Circuit etc.
