The predicament
You get the dreaded email that all IT people hate…

Hallo Carmen I know that you are in the IT department and have no skills in SharePoint but we have no one else so this is unfortunately your problem now. I have the following requests that we need live on the site as soon as humanly possible. Please find below the scope and URL of the site. URL IT Department:Change Request Process with workflows to approvers ProjectsI want users to be able to create project document libraries with a workflow attached to it. Once a new item is added to the project library it must go to the relevant department specified in the metadata of the document for approval. If it is not approved then the user must be notified. I do not want you to create this workflow every time we must be able to reuse this workflow on every new document library created.
HR DepartmentNew employee process where the user must be created, IT equipment needs to be allocated, Finance needs to be notified etcAuto Populate the welcome pack document with the name and details of the new employee and send the pack to him once created via email

Next up…ProjectsI want users to be able to create project document libraries with a workflow attached to it. And then…HR DepartmentUser friendly leave request list where managers can easily approve/reject leave. I don’t like the approval workflow tasks that are created so please find another way of doing this.New employee process where the user muse be created, IT equipment needs to be allocated, Finance needs to be notified etc

Sales DepartmentWe want to auto-populate quotes from lists of information. The totals and VAT should calculate itself please.
