• 3-5 food components MUST be selected for a complete Meal Deal (Reimbursable Meal). One item MUST be a fruit or a vegetable. If a complete Meal Deal (Reimbursable Meal) is NOT selected, students will be charged A La Carte pricing. Price list located on the back of this menu.
• Soy Milk and Lactose Free Milk are available for students who are intolerant of regular milk. No doctor’s note is required.

PAYMENTS • Students are responsible for paying for their meals and A La Carte items.• Middle and high school students with a negative balance in their
account will be offered an alternate breakfast and/or lunch meal. Please see the NISD Student Handbook for more information.
• Student ID numbers are used for student meal accounts.• Payments may be made to the student’s meal account by cash, check
or online at www.nisd.net/parent connection/.• Make checks payable to your school’s cafeteria. Include student
name and ID number.• There is a $25 NSF fee for returned checks.• Money left in a student account at the end of the year will roll over to
the following year. Refunds will be given May 19 – May 30, 2014 as requested.
• Questions about an account? Contact your school cafeteria manager. FREE AND REDUCED MEALS • Free or Reduced Meals are available to students who qualify based
on federal guidelines. Meal Deals must meet quidelines or A La Carte prices will be charged.
• Applications are available at your campus, online at http://childnutrition.nisd.net/, in the Child Nutrition Building at 7520 Mainland Drive from 7am – 3:30 pm M–F or by calling 397-4517. (Special Hours are available at the Child Nutrition Building Aug. 19 – Sept. 5 from 7am – 6pm Monday – Thursdayand 7am – 3:30 pm on Friday.)
• New applications MUST be submitted every school year.• Prior year status will end after Oct. 7, 2013. Students will be
charged FULL PRICE if a new approved application is not on file byOct. 7, 2013.
