Meeting children

A brand new world:
Children discover a
new place so that
parents must learn to
trust them.
News for the
“housekeepers” too:
meeting children for
the fisrt time or
children transformed
by a summertime.
Habits, uncertainty,
tears, reassuring
voices, caresses: this
is the beginning of a
big adventure.

Our
senses:
a bridge
to the
world.
![Page 6: How big is the world? part 1](https://reader033.fdocuments.us/reader033/viewer/2022061223/54c3b5c94a7959df428b4599/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
Hands are our first moving toy.
We watch them shaking in front of us.
Little by little our gestures become self aware.
Powerful and flexible tools
to explore the nearest world: our body.
![Page 7: How big is the world? part 1](https://reader033.fdocuments.us/reader033/viewer/2022061223/54c3b5c94a7959df428b4599/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Ears, hands, mouth, eyes, nose.
We use them to “feel” the world.
They let us meet people and things we
want to experience.
![Page 8: How big is the world? part 1](https://reader033.fdocuments.us/reader033/viewer/2022061223/54c3b5c94a7959df428b4599/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)

MEETING OBJECTS:
Objects we meet by chance, objects we were looking for.
We can sit and explore them or just keep on doing something else.
![Page 11: How big is the world? part 1](https://reader033.fdocuments.us/reader033/viewer/2022061223/54c3b5c94a7959df428b4599/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
Things have a
sort of skin
we can feel:
hot, cold,
smooth,
creased…
Surfaces
sliding on our
fingers.
Colours
surfing on
our eyes.
![Page 12: How big is the world? part 1](https://reader033.fdocuments.us/reader033/viewer/2022061223/54c3b5c94a7959df428b4599/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
By our hands we can explore different shapes
but we can create them as well.
![Page 13: How big is the world? part 1](https://reader033.fdocuments.us/reader033/viewer/2022061223/54c3b5c94a7959df428b4599/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)
they just slip out…
…and sometimes
One finger is enough to
transform them in a
while…
![Page 14: How big is the world? part 1](https://reader033.fdocuments.us/reader033/viewer/2022061223/54c3b5c94a7959df428b4599/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
We can submerge ourselves in colours
and enjoy the light creating them.

Keeping coulours in our hands…
![Page 16: How big is the world? part 1](https://reader033.fdocuments.us/reader033/viewer/2022061223/54c3b5c94a7959df428b4599/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)
…make colours move…
![Page 17: How big is the world? part 1](https://reader033.fdocuments.us/reader033/viewer/2022061223/54c3b5c94a7959df428b4599/html5/thumbnails/17.jpg)
…looking through colours
![Page 18: How big is the world? part 1](https://reader033.fdocuments.us/reader033/viewer/2022061223/54c3b5c94a7959df428b4599/html5/thumbnails/18.jpg)
…creating cloured shapes and replicating them…
