Welcome to HouseHunter, our local property & lifestyle magazine...Welcome to the July edition of our HouseHunter magazine. You will find a selection of some of the properties available, both for sale and to let, across our network of local offices.

This edition sees the first instalment of Market View, our new regular feature. Each month there will be a selection of interesting facts and data about the property market, both local and national. Turn to page 16 to find out more.

There is an array of local events taking place this month that we are pleased to be supporting. On Saturday 5 July why not head to the Histon and Impington Feast Festival? From 12.00pm until 4.30pm there will be a host of activities and attractions alongside the feast stalls. Then on Sunday 6 July the 36th Ely Aquafest will get underway. Organised by the Rotary Clubs of Ely, there will be stalls, a fun fair and of course the Annual Raft Race - a major crowd pleaser!

From Tuesday 8 July until Sunday 13 July there will be various events on as part of the Shelford Feast. For more information on the feast events take a look at the feast website: shelfordfeast.co.uk.

This month also sees the opening of registration for the Histon and Impington Bonfire Burn 10k. From the 1st of July you can register to take part in the multi-terrain race which takes place on Sunday 2 November. For further details visit their website: bonfireburn10k.co.uk.

The increase in average house prices in Cambridge and the surrounding

villages in the last ten years

Growth has outperformed the East of England (18.4%) and national average (20.6%) and remains only marginally behind the Greater

London figure of 57.6%. (Source: Land Registry)
