Olympics Denmark’s 15 medals at the 2016 Rio Games may only be good enough for 28th place over-all, but when you consider the country’s small size things look a lot better.

According to the website Medals Per Capita, Denmark brought home one Olympic medal for every 378,400 inhabitants, the fifth best re-sult in the world and the best in Europe.

Denmark ended its historic Olympics in grand style with the men’s handball team beating France to claim gold. Another gold medal was taken home by swimmer Pernille Blume; and the Danes claimed six silver and seven bronze medals.

The 15 medals represents Denmark’s best Olympics performance since the 1948 Games in London

Midsummer celebra-tion at Mission Bay was a lot of fun and very well attended. The witch flew off to Bloksbjerg, Margit held a traditional “bål-tale” (bonfire speech), the midsummer song was sung to old and new tunes, and lots of “snobrød” (bread baked on sticks) was consumed.
