DGC (Down flow Gas Contactor)
DGC is down flow co-current device used for efficient mass transfer
It consist of a cylindrical section with a Specially Designed Inlet
(SDI)at its entry (at the top),allowing both liquid and gas into the
reactor
DGC can be operated at high pressure & temperature and in
batch & continuous mode
Important feature: Air for effluent treatment can sucked in from
the atmosphere eliminating use of air compressor.
Lower Capital & Operating
Inherently safe operating
40-50%

compare to traditional glass wool
insulation
As Our plant is 25 years old so we are
using Arogel for insulating the utility
lines where there is congested area for
doing insulation

S.No Title of Project
1) Decreases steam pressure from 10
kg/cm2 to required pressure,
with zero maintenance,
2
1) Less power consumption due to
elimination of Air compressors usage
2) Eliminates intermediate operations so
time cycle also decreases which gives
high productivity
1) Minimizes productivity loss by
avoiding pump seal leakages6

Hetero has also ventured into solar power to meet part of its energy needs along with to reduce its carbon foot prints
A 4.16 MW solar farm has been established in Dacharam (M), Yadadri (Dist.)
In 2010 Hetero established Wind Power farms
Currently We have installed total 124.5 MW of wind power generating units
The aim is to release 1000 MW of wind power capacity by 2022
The Wind farms are located at Vajrakarur (Anantapur Dist.), Tirumalayapalli (Kadapa Dist.) in A.P & Wandhia in Gujarat

2) No Process delays due to shortage of raw
materials
number of samples due to large batch
sizes of materials
more space while transporting but now
changed the packing procedure to use large
bags instead of more number of containers
2) Solvents and water tankers capacity also
increased when compare with previous

4) Gas shortages are overcomed by readily
available of cylinders
Calcium chloride, HCl as raw materials
2) Dry HCl gas generates with mass flow rate of
