APD – a snapshot

• Started in 1959, APD works for People with Disability (PWD), in the age group of 0 to 35 years,

• Enable them go mainstream – impart skills to be functionally and financially independent.

Origin and Mission

• 30,000 PWDs (2013-14)• Endeavour - Build capacity to

reach another 18 k beneficiaries (2013-2014)

• Benefitted over 400,000 over the years
