Join us on Sunday, June 1 to Rock and Roll, to Rock-a-by Baby, to

Build on a Rock, to ride the Rock Island Line, to Rock Around the Clock,

to Rock of Ages, to dance the Jailhouse Rock…

On Sunday there will be a once in a life-time opportunity to pick rock

out on HOPE’s property at Sterling Ponds. We will be getting the land ready for planting.

Right after worship we will head out to the land where there will be

tractors and wagons for us to start clearing the land. Wear your jeans and work boots to church, bring your gloves and tools and off we’ll go.

For those of you who have already done your time on the rock pile, please consider joining us. We will need encouragement and some

music. When we’ve “done our time” we’ll gather for food and fellowship and celebrate the amazing community of HOPE

Lutheran. This is another good example of God’s work, our hands.

Family Fresh Café ~ coffee and conversation

Hey Team!

Our first game is on Monday, May 19th, at 7:45, at Hoffman Park #2. Let's plan on meeting at 6:30 for some hitting practice.

Also, if anyone wants to get together for a quick practice, let's meet at Hoffman Park on Sunday, May 18th at 6:00.

The rule this year on bats is that "All men, regardless of age, must use a 31" or smaller ASA Approved bat. Little League Bats are ok." This is the first time Little League bats have been allowed. I'm sure the Little League Bats will be a bit heavier and have a bit more power than a softball bat. If you want to purchase one, you may do so. Just be sure that it is no more than 31". I will have 31" softball bats available for anyone's use. Play Ball!! Faye

Daytime Book Group We'll meet at noon on Monday, May 19 at St. Croix Lanes to discuss Driftless by David

Rhodes. Driftless, a winner of the Milkweed Editions National Fiction Prize, is a novel that was

published in 2008. It is set in the Driftless area of southwestern Wisconsin.

We won't meet again until August when we'll suggest books for September '14 - May '15. As you read over the

summer, make note of titles that would be good for our discussions.

Evening Book Group May 19

th, 7pm, Julie Schmidt, 12523 850

th avenue, River Falls, 425-0487: PASTRIX (The Cranky, Beautiful Faith of

a Sinner & Saint) by Nadia Bolz-Weber (an ELCA pastor’s personal story).
