The answer? Hope Loaf

• Hope Loaf is a fourth sector business that employs homeless citizens transitioning off the street.

How? “Hope Loaf”

We hire homeless people transitioning out of homeless shelters and into their own homes, providing them with valuable work skills and work experience to help them get into the work force. These employees are taught to cook, and transform a loaf of bread into a hearty take out meal. This loaf of bread, previously headed for the landfill, now has value.

Here’s How it Works:

Page 8: Hope loaf

Grocery stores and restaurants donate loaves of bread that would

otherwise be thrown out

Page 9: Hope loaf

And give an opportunity for homeless adults to get valuable

work experience

• Our employees use the leftover bread to create tasty take-out meals.

healthy, hearty food to feed their families.

• They buy our packaged, homemade food to keep in their freezer or use for a quick weekday meal.
