I. Background
Hope Cup is an annually football tournament between kids from
shelters, international schools and sport academies
Disadvantaged kids are main beneficiaries
Hope Cup 2013 is the 4th tournament: 16 teams (12 shelters, 4
international schools/football academies) Hope Cup 2012: 14 teams (10 shelters, 2 international schools, 2 football academies)
Hope Cup 2011: 8 teams (6 shelters, 1 international schools, 1 football academy)
Hope Cup 2010: 6 teams (4 shelters, 2 international schools)

• Hope Cup is where the kids can achieve their dream:
become a super-star, a hero.
• Hope Cup is where the kids play to prove themselves.
• Hope Cup is where the kids play the key role.

• Hope Cup is a festival for the kids.
III. Purpose
To continue the success of previous tournaments to bring fun and joy to children
To bring a unique playing space for disadvantaged children in HCMC to help them chase their dream
To create a culture exchanges activity between kids from shelters and international schools/sport academies.
IV. Objectives
I. Organize an unforgettable football tournament with participating of
16 teams in 2 age groups (U15 & U18).
II. Engage 200-300 fans coming to support for kids.
V. Activities
Competition:
16 teams in 2 age groups (U15 & U18)
4 teams per table
Total 40 matches:
• 24 round-table matches
• 8 semi-total matches
• 8 last matches
10’ X 2 half = 20’/match
5’ for rest between 1st and 2nd half.
15’ for rest between rounds.
4 teams in each table
• Each team plays 3 round-table matches
• Ranked by point, goal/lost, goal, lost
• 1st and 2nd teams enter semi-final matches
• 3rd and 4th teams enter next matches for 5-8th places

VI. Fan Engagement
To help every kid has a good form for their day.
To help every team will be trained before the matches.
To bring a significant number of fan to come and support for players.
Purposes
Every single shelter team is backed and supported by a Fan Club.
The Fan Club is a volunteer group, a company, a football team, or a
football fan club (Manchester fan club, Real Madrid fan club…).
Fan Clubs will support shelter teams for:
• Uniform and shoes
• 2 training days before the tournament
• Transportation, foods & drinks for training and Hope Cup
• Cheering at the tournament.
